Yaaaa!  Now they can layoff/fire one cashier because each cashier can handle more customers.  What? Did you think you would go through the line faster?

This doesn't seem appreciably faster than swiping my credit card and scribbling a signature. I mean, I guess you wouldn't need to sign but that only takes a second anyway...

I love how quick they are too call this "infallible." Let's see... find a back door into the system that handles the hand print scans, intercept some key data that ties a given print to the associated account, perhaps reassign a few pointers...

Most grocery stores, and most times I go, I spend so little money that I don't even need to sign. I actually help bag my own groceries to make it go even quicker (and there's the one or two stoned bag boys who don't understand how to put the heaver, colder stuff on the bottom of the insulated bag).

Yeah, but I can avoid human interaction for the most part. I just grunt at the person with the remote thingy and they clear it.
