One of the lesser Baldwins.

2014-04-15 08:41:20 AM
He's leading a prayer breakfast in my town, so there's a big billboard with his mug that I have by 20 times a day. Damn big-time Hollywood limousine liberals!

I guess someone told him that NOW IT'S PAYBACK TIME!

I hope it was post-dated.

I'd be more curious to know what Stephen Baldwin did to get $100K.

A teabagger who won't pay his bills.  One of the usual suspects, indeed.

I've been hearing him do radio ads for months a teeth whitening product. That's probably not paying a lot, but at least he's got a gig.

It was $100,000.05 to be exact.
He gave BJs.

I know what you are thinking.
Who paid him a nickle?

They ALL DID.

Alec: Of course, I'll help, little brother. Take what you need out of the safe. I do have some conditions, though. The NRA, the Right to Life Movement, various conservative PACS...

Stephen: Oh, so you want me to disavow them? Are you trying to buy my silence?

Alec: Heavens, no, Stephen! I want you to publicly support them at every given opportunity!

Twenty years ago, he could have easily sold his ass for $100K.  Today, not so much.

and that's the most likely answer: you can have $100K, Stephen, but I'm making the check out to the NY Dept of Revenue myself.

Last I heard he was running some Christian group. I wonder if he just grabbed the $100k from them.

Ya know, for that movie he gets a pass unlike any other I'm willing to dole out.

I must have seen that movie fifty times.  It's still awesome.

Or maybe he got it from Miley Cyrus. Look up the whole Hanna Montana tattoo thing, very bizarre stuff.

I need to know if this is the left-wing Baldwin or the right-wing one before I can judge his morals and his right to speak publicly about his political ideology.  It also helps me decide whether or not he's a good actor.

I wouldn't blame anyone for having problems with taxes billed by New York. They really like to overreach and you get stuck fighting them forever.

He didn't pay his real estate taxes for years.  That's not "overreach".

I don't see any mention of real estate taxes. If it were a real estate problem then someone would have bought the liability and he'd have lost that real estate long ago.

Yes, it was a joke.

It was also a commentary on the hypocritical position of Christians and conservatives who despise the "Hollywood elites" until one of them decides they need the money too much.

But it was mostly a joke.

Ass.

Sorry, it was a foreclosure, not RE taxes.  He's plead guilty to tax evasion: http://www.hollywood.com/news/brief/56760030/stephen-baldwin-hit-with - foreclosure-lawsuit

What's news to me is that Stephen "the Bimbo" Baldwin made enough to owe that much in back taxes. Did he borrow some from this rageaholic/alcoholic older brother who can act when he manages to sober up?

So Tito, as much as like "Tito" as a nickname.

Frighteningly, Alec is sober, and has been for decades.  Everyone involved would likely be better off if he started drinking again.

"says he's sober"

Though I'll accept that he might be a "dry drunk" who hasn't addressed the issues that lead to his being an utter lush/monster to those around him.

With all the residuals from hits like Bio Dome, how was this not pocket change for him?

2014-04-15 05:49:20 PM
He won't be giving up the Christian routine for the attention tho. Now is the time to prove you're better at something than Alec, Stephen, and that something is shutting up.

Good for him. Glad those BioDome residual checks finally added up.

I'm gobsmacked that people in the US still use checks. This is the 21st century and I can't remember the last time I even saw a check let alone needed to use one.

I had to search my house for my checks, to write one to pay my state taxes today.  Granted, online pay was an option, but not for free.

You have to pay extra to make an electronic payment? That explains the continued use of checks anyway.

I still use them because of a crippling bout of poverty a few years ago.  I had several automatic payments set up that I needed to, well, not pay anymore if I wanted to keep my lights on and gas in the tank to drive to job interviews.  Trying to cancel those payments convinced me to never set that up again.  I make good money now, really good money, but the experience stuck with me.  My wife ridicules me about it every month.
