Brian Johnson sounds like a freaking throat cancer patient.  Time to hang up the gloves, guys.  It has been a great run.

You rang in a lot of good times to my life, dude. Be well.

I haven't paid much attention to them since the 80's, but I saw them on the Back in Black and For Those About to Rock tours. They were awesome. Hope they're just tired of the road and that Malcolm isn't really terminally ill.

As a second generation Aussie... wow.  They're around the 10th best selling music artists of all time.

F*ck the Black Eyed Peas. Right in the ear.

I still haven't sent them a pair of my dirty socks as I vowed I would.

Saw 'em with my pops in 1983 on the Flick of the Switch tour at the Brendan Byrne Arena in East Rutherford, NJ. I was 12.

My ears are STILL ringing.

I'm sad that I never got to see perform live.  They're easily one of the most iconic hard rock bands of all time.

One of my favorite stores about the band is when some critic accused AC/DC of making the same album 15 times.  Angus Young responded by saying "No, man, we've made the same album 16 times!"

Reportedly the folks who ran Upchuck On People were real a holes

The one and only time I saw them live was October 28, 1983.  Why do I remember this? It was the day I met my first wife.  Great show, turned out to be a bad omen. Thanks Brian. Oh and loved you in the breakfast club.

/very sad if the Malcolm rumor is true

Who made who tour at the Spectrum in Philly, 1986. I thought For Those About to Rock was going to bring the house down. Permanent hearing damage from that show.

I had been at the doctors and found out my Appendix was enlarged and the doctor was afraid it might burst.  As I left, he gave strict instructions to not do anything physical or that might risk getting bumped around.  30 minutes later a friend called and advised he'd gotten tickets to the AC/DC concert.  I said, "hell, Yeah!".  When we got there we split up, he went to the floor and I decided to sneak around the lower level seating that was on level with the stage.  I ran into a security guard and told him about my earlier doctor visit but didn't want to miss the show.  He let me hang out so long as I didn't do anything stupid.  Little did I know, just being there was stupid.  second or third song, they ended by lighting off what I swear were concussion grenades and I was about 30 feet from them. After picking my ear drums off the floor, I left my buddy stranded and went home and stayed in bed for 3 days.

According to my local Classic Rock station You Shook Me All Night Long is the only song AC/DC recorded.

I always thought Fly on the Wall was a vastly underrated album.

Mitch Taylor's Bro: Hope they're just tired of the road and that Malcolm isn't really terminally ill.

Aren't we all though?

Well shiat. They may have simply made the same songs over and over again, but damn if they didn't rock the ever living shiat out of those songs. You can say they suck all you want, but they always seemed to be having a good time with what they were doing.

2014-04-15 08:05:12 AM
They are far and away my favorite concert experience.  Not a ton of flashy stage crap to mask a lack of talent, just five guys rocking out hard to a collection of great songs.  I'm just happy I remember the show after drinking FSM-knows-what out of all the random bottles being passed around our section.

If Malcolm is sick it's the right thing to do.
He's as much of the heart and soul of the band as Angus is.

If this is goodbye, Black Ice was a great album & tour to hang it up with.
