I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual.

I approve this message!

And if Peter Gabriel wants to do a one-off, even if he has to use a relative of Phil's, would be OK by me. I think a new album, if he's willing to release new material, should be his priority though. Enough orchestral compilations by now.

I feel like we need Patrick Bateman's opinion.

I was going to post a link to some old Genesis, but I see you've got that covered.  Just about the year I was thinking of too.

Dancing with the moonlit knight indeed.

Personally, I wouldn't give a shiat if Genesis got back together without Phil Collins.  I never liked him anyway.  Maybe they could have Bootsy Collins fill in for him.  Now, that  would be funky.

Bill Bruford can play the drums.

It would be nice but unless Phil's son has his dad's chops on the drums I don't think anything's happening until Pete and Phil's youngest kids get to the stage of life where they start asking "wait - you looked like WHAT back in the day? Oh, I gotta see that."

And then they all head out to a Musical Box concert.
