Personally, I'd go for the modified Lincoln Continental from the movie The Car (1977). Just to pull up behind people on the highway to hit the horn and scare the shiat out of them.

/got nothin

I would prefer something of this size to guard the front door.

Dr. Claw's flying car/submarine combo was pretty bad ass.

As a supervillian in today's world it should be powered only by the coal it mines

As a super villain, I'd want something with style.

GadgetMobile was pretty spiffy itself. Perfect family vehicle, turns into sportster for dad, then into a minivan for family trips

The Hughes mining barge built to snatch the USSR sub immediately came to mind.

I salute your mind.

Well... the CIA, KGB, and mining interests are about as "supervillian" as it gets.

I thought that thing was built to fight the oil well fires in Kuwait after Gulf War I. I saw the movie Fires of Kuwait in IMAX. You could almost feel the heat coming off the screen.

It probably turns like a whale, which is fine if you're not in a high speed chase with anyone.

How does the Lun-class compare to Hubertus Bigend's  A-90 Orlyonok?

FTFA: "In 1968, Hungarians had to engineer something quickly to kill a massive gas fire. Pictured above, the 'Big Wind' is a T34 tank with twin MiG-29 jets... "

Well, since the MIG-29 didn't come about until 1977, how about... No.

They're actually build around a pair of these: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tumansky_R-15 off of a mig-25.

Which book's that from?  I've only read Pattern Recognition.

But of course Bigend would have something like an Ekranoplan, which for some reason engenders a sphincter-loosening terror in me.
