That or he hates the police more than he cares about them arresting whoever stabbed him.

He was probably on PCP. Broke every bone in his hand and wouldn't feel it for hours. There was this guy once, you see this scar?

Don't talk to police. They are not there to help you, be your friend, or any of the other bullshiat "helpful cop" type of thing they try to sell you.

Was working in the ER late one Friday night, when the ambulance brought in this guy who had been shot gunned.

Most of the charge went into his left forearm, meaning he had been within feet of the blast and had just managed to get his arm up. The forearm was swollen to twice its normal size with the pellets and I could see some of them and noticed where a few had hit him in the chest.

Must have been a 4/10 or else it would have taken his arm off. Made a bloody mess of it as it was. As I cleaned the wound and started to prep him for the physician, he mentioned that he had been taking the very drunk girl friend of a friend of his home from a bar, when the guy showed up, also drunk, accused him of cheating with her, whipped up a shotgun and let him have it.

The cops came, took a look at him and asked him if he wanted to press charges and he said no. I thought he was an idiot. He wouldn't tell them the guys name or anything and the cops were getting irritated with him.

When they left, I told him I thought he was an idiot as I cleaned up pellets and more blood and got him ready for surgery. He just said that he was going to handle it in his own way, that he hadn't been cheating with the girl and his 'friend' was probably going to have an accident.

A couple of weeks later, a guy came in, who had been 'accidentally' run over by a truck and dragged along a paved road for a few yards. Think severe road rash covering his torso, front and back, with bits of pebbles and little chunks of tar rubbed in. Face was a bit of a mess also. Aside from knocking someone out, for road rash that extensive, there's not much we can do for pain and we weren't allowed to do that until the Dr. had seen him and checked him out.

Funny. This 'accident' happened the day the guy who had been shot had been discharged. This guy also didn't want to talk to the cops. Conversations between the guy and his friends who came in with him led me to believe that his being run over had been deliberate and he had been dragged just enough to mess him up.

I figured the guy with the armload of shotgun pellets had taken his 'pound of flesh.'

Maybe a bit more.

We have 21yr old career criminal who was shot by a Good Samaritan while he was trying to rob a guy of his laptop. Said dirtbag recovered for a couple of months, got into a fight with what are most likely rival gang members and ended up shot another 3 times from close range and refuses to say who shot him.

In conclusion, fark that guy and fark this guy. Darwin will eventually get it right.

Snitches get fitted for a wooden suit nowadays. At least that's how they do it in Chicago.

He probably just didn't want to get shot, like the Tosh.0 Production Assistant, who was killed by the police last week after he was stabbed in the neck.

Thanks for posting that. The best legal advice is that which you get from an anonymous poster on a website known for it's humorous content.

Among certain elements of our society it's considered unmanly to involve the police in your personal disputes. Eventually Darwin steps in and makes things right.

Be aware that the person who I am quoting in this comment is actually a police officer.

So is the guy that responded.

I'm not saying that "don't talk to the police" is bad advice. I'm saying that it isn't always good advice. Take each situation individually - sometimes it's advantageous to talk to the police, other times it's not. To have a blanket philosophy of never ever talking to the police can be very damaging to yourself. If you're not sure, get legal advice from a real lawyer, not a YouTube video.

That is a con. Police where I am at are trained to force quick emotional reactions out of people to use it against them. If you have time to stop and talk to a lawyer, then you are hopefully past that curve of being tricked into saying something that can be used against you.

I think the point of that famous video is not to say shiat to a cop through initial contact then get legal advice if further needed.

You are mistaken about the real nature of police in the united states.

Can you cite a source for this claim? It doesn't even make sense.
