gerbilpox: Media relations, sending emails and posting photographs on the internet appropriately will also be recognised.

That's pathetic. I biked for miles for a badge, and they get it by clicking "send"?

Yeah, and how long did the Personal Hygiene(or whatever the hell it was) badge take you to get.

They still have plenty of ones you gotta work hard at.

It's Britain. Where they have a dearth of outdoors. If their scouts didn't have badges for playing on the internet, then they wouldn't get badges for anything.

Besides, everyone knows the badges like "personal finance" are BY FAR the hardest for any teenaged boy to complete.

RobSeace: What? They get a badge for chanting "Dyb dyb dyb, dob dob dob"? WTF does that even mean?!

The correct version, as anyone from the 23rd S-E Leeds could tell them, is 'Dyb dyb dyb' - meaning 'Do your best' - to which the response is 'We'll dob dob dob' - 'We'll do our best'.

Also a British thing, I believe

RobSeace: Tying knots, putting up tents and chanting 'Dyb dyb dyb, dob dob dob' are some of the more traditional activities undertaken to win a Scout badge.

It's a drinking game, like Bizz-Buzz in the US.  If they get it wrong, they have to pound a can of shandy.
