gnosis301: Former bandleader for Conan, right?

Yes.

I thought that Late Night with Conan O'Brien was funniest when Weinberg was doing something crazy in various comedy bits, like trying to have sex with himself.

Thank God.  We don't need another 25 minute drum solo hogger.

It's funny because there was no Photoshop involved.

JerkyMeat: He is no Neal Peart

Which was a big reason Bruce hired him.  The ad specifically stated "No Ginger Bakers" -- just someone to keep a beat, and pay attention to follow his leads.

Jimmy Vivino is Conan's band leader now.

The original E Street drummer (who quit after recording "Born to Run" but before the album was finished) was a jazz drummer who had real chops.  There's a fill on "Born to Run" that Max admits he's never been able to replicate.

Boom Carter wasn't the original drummer, that was Vinnie Lopez. I regret not seeing them on their earliest trips to Houston (I think it was twice before I saw them the first time after Born to Run came out) pre-Max and more importantly, with David Sancious instead of Roy Bittan.

I saw them in 73 and they made me tired. A long long version of Quarter to Three. After 2 hours, I told the girl I'd come to the show to chat up that I'd see her later and split.  I saw them many years later and they still made me tired. "Leave 'em wanting more " is not in Springsteen's repertoire.

March '77, Lewiston ME. To this day still one of the top 5 concerts I've been to. Just wish I could remember more of it. Fu*king weed...
