If he was the good brave cop and person they describe then that truly is sad. Heartbreaking for his family. RIP good man. It seems you made the world a tiny bit better in your short allotted time here and that's about the best anyone can do.

Wait, so you telling me doing work outs that can cause a rise in blood pressure and heart speed might cause a weakened blood vessel to explode? No way.

Or wounded by an explosive device during the police pursuit, like the article states

Um, I don't see anything the article about an aneurysm. Just "unspecified medical emergency." Could be totally unrelated to anything from the bombing stuff.

OOH! OOH! Let me jump in with my crossfit story:
My wife and I were in an airport terminal waiting to board our flight to D.C. for the Marine Corps Marathon. Three crossfit devotees were sitting in the seats behind us waiting to board the same flight. All they were talking about were their exercise routines and their paleo diets. Then one of the guys says, "Just stick with it. It's worth it. Crossfit is what got me to finally break the 5 hour mark in my last marathon."

As a Bostonian, a quick comment about that day:
Every person I knew face-palmed that day. Well, except my parents. But we'll get to that.
I have a friend who is in law enforcement and tells me pretty much everyone knew this was some sort of Banksy-esque ad campaign (my words, not theirs) and that there was no need for any sort of alarm. It was LED graffiti as far as they were concerned, end of story. But they were all ordered from above to treat the situation with care and act like they had everything "under control" of course "because 9/11." No, it didn't matter that this was nothing. No, it didn't matter that most of the younger officers "got the joke." It had to be handled a specific way due to the public's perception of "safety." I tried to explain this to my parents who lost their minds and said this was a "dangerous stunt."  And that's when I realized the full effect of 9/11: It made my parents, normally mellow and rational people, turn toward panic as a first course and use excuses like "lived through WWII" as valid arguments in favor of going full-retard at every sighting of an "Andre The Giant Has a Posse" sticker as if some giant man and his legion of minions was about to attack the city.

I still laugh about the Fark meme because I was very active on Fark back then, and while I felt some degree of embarrassment for my city, at least I got the joke and hadn't lost all perspective just yet.

Depends. The death has to be proximately caused by the killer (the felony murder rule might make it in this case, although that's iffy) AND the death has to occur within a "year and a day" of the crime, and this might not make it.

I think Dzhokar has plenty of murder and attempted murder against him as it is.

They have to be able to breathe and walk at the same time, so there's that.

Still, it's not one of your better efforts.
