Um we actually usually do that.  May want to look before you sit down though, the orgasms were not faked.

In 30 seconds of trying, I couldn't find a single spot to park my mouse where it didn't cause some roll-over pop-up to block the text, so I gave up and closed the article.

Yes, but did you finish?

1 and 2 should be switched. My parents live one block from Katz but Carnegie is the best.

A gentleman never tells.

/Yes.

______ Deli in ______ is way better than those. Their ______ is awesome, much better than ______.

2014-04-12 12:49:55 PM
Sorry, I'm still bitter over Pastrami King closing/moving.

2014-04-12 12:50:02 PM
I've been to a few on the list (and they are great), but Pumpernick's in Montgomeryville, Pa is the best I've ever been to. Plus, lots of local craft beers.

2014-04-12 12:51:00 PM
Katz's has the best pastrami sandwich I have ever had.  It literally melts in your mouth.

2014-04-12 12:51:13 PM

Rip Dashrock: New Deli in India is way better than those. Their Matzo Curry is awesome, much better than a swift kick in the nutz.

I promise I never say this but list fails without Rein's deli in Vernon, CT. The best place to stop betwixt Maine and NYC

Is eating Jews kosher?

I know that it's not in the US, but Schwartzs can kick the pants off any of those NYC delis

Not for nothing, but I wouldn't trust the meat at any place called "Katz".

I agree. Even my local deli owner likes Katz's more than his own

Had me some Canter's last night, been favoring their lighter, late-night menu because those corned beef sandwiches, tasty as they are, tend to sit in your stomach like a boulder.

During a visit to Vegas last year, I noticed that they now have a location in one of the casinos, which seemed odd and out of place.

I concede that they do brisket really really really really right but it really is kind of an apples and orange situation.  I do like that style equally to Katz's though..

You mean to tell me, with all the Jews who've migrated to Florida, that there's not a single Florida deli on that list??

I was in Zingerman's last week when Obama visited.

You'd think Fairfax would have some good delis, but I've been underwhelmed by every one I've been to. Torrance has a better deli than Fairfax, for crying out loud.

Farifax is barely Farifax anymore, it's been overrun by skater shops and the like. It's pretty much an annex of Melrose at this point.

Right. Rye's in Minneapolis was so good it went out of business two weeks ago.

That's funny. Why is their website still running? http://www.ryedeli.com/

Langer's rules.  Canter's sucks, Brent's in the valley is way better.

Is Art's still open? I used to love that place.

Subby has some weird fetishes.

/Wish I had a decent deli near me

2014-04-12 01:30:32 PM
as someone who used to live in the LES, I can assure you that group fake orgasms have been done to death at Katz's.

2014-04-12 01:31:18 PM
I also vote Katz's as top, but list needs Cork & Lenny's in Cleveland; Kenny & Ziggy's in Houston; Cindi's in Dallas (best Vietnamese owned Jewish style deli. w/ the best Matzo Ball Soup). Best sign it is a good deli- Do they serve Dr. Brown's soda.

The Carnegie Deli Cheesecake, there is no better. If I am in NYC or Vegas it is a mandatory stop.

Shapiros in Indy please. To die for.

So sad that 2nd Ave Deli couldn't, and shouldn't, make that list. RIP   Abe Lebewohl, that guy ran the best deli in NYC for ages, I hope whoever murdered him goes to a hell that has ironically tortuous food.

My family stops in there every time we drive between Chicago and Louisville. I love their corned beef.

/they are not, as the article says, kosher
//anywhere that serves a Reuben is not

sdd2000: list needs Corky & Lenny's in Cleveland

Man, I was so gonna go to Corky & Dorky's today and get one of their towering, yumlicious sammiches, but I had to come down with some kind of gastrointestinal ailment this morning.  *has a severe sad*

2014-04-12 02:04:57 PM
Jewish food ... is just not that good.  So bland.  And Zingerman's is an outright ripoff; Ann Arbor people have the mentality that more expensive=more better.  Once in a blue moon, Canter's has a fun rock show, though.

thomasvista: You mean to tell me, with all the Jews who've migrated to Florida, that there's not a single Florida deli on that list??

Add Chicago to that list ... for the number of Jews that live here, you'd think there'd be at least one good deli. There isn't. Not even one. And don't tell me to go to Skokie. Skokie isn't Chicago.

2014-04-12 02:12:01 PM
Obviously the author has never been to the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of PitOH THAT'S RIGHT IT'S GONE! Thanks for raising the rent by 300%, realty company.

2014-04-12 02:12:04 PM
And don't tell me to go to Skokie. Skokie isn't Chicago.

It isn't a Jewish neighborhood anymore either.  Unless sari's are fashionable at temple these days.

Pastrami on rye and a half-sour pickle, plz thx.

True, but that's where Kaufman's is.
In Chicago, The only deli that was halfway decent, Ahskenaz, is closed. And please don't say Manny's. That place is an armpit.

No Hobby's Deli in Newark, NJ?  List is invalid.

2014-04-12 03:03:07 PM
Kenny and Ziggy's missing?  This is a lousy list.
