I feel bad for the businessman who told his wife he'd be on that flight and now has to live at his girlfriend's house

Benevolent Misanthrope: Admit it, guys - you don't know Jack Schitt.  You narrowed it down to 600 km2 - looking for a 747 in an area the size of Chicago - and you still haven't got dick.

I think they actually have it narrowed down to a few square miles.

However, the source could actually be a lair of underwater aliens. When we discover their hidden civilization, they will come up to the surface and enslave us. We will wish no one ever began the search for that damn plane.

gfid: Are people still paying attention to this?  Until I see a headline that the plane is actually found - that they actually have definitive evidence of where exactly it is, I'm just going to keep tuning out.

CNN is still 24/7 plane coverage.. I heard they signed up for a second season at this point.

TFA: Up to 10 planes and 14 ships were searching Saturday.

I'm not sure flying planes 15,000ft under the ocean will be effective ...
