Talk about a miscarriage of justice.

The assistant superintendent who filed the charges has since been removed from their position, Senior Superintendent of Police Rana Jabbar told   The Times of India .

Those responsible have been sacked.  Those responsible for sacking the people who have just been sacked, have been sacked.

That baby knew what it was getting into. Let it go to trial.

Police registered a case against the whole family, alleging they threw rocks at gas company officials carrying out an anti-theft inspection

Do these people think they are Nevada ranchers?

Hiding Osama is ok but this baby is guilty.

So he had a strong alibi ?

Nick Nostril: Pakistan has a corrupt police force? Hmmm. Whodathunkit?

To be fair it's not just the police force. And it's more of 'dysfunctional' than 'corrupt'.

That baby attacked a cop. Those people are heroes. Convict!

Glad to see Pakistan's police force has gotten better at nipping terror in the bud before it moves into a luxurious house next to its military academy.

Nick Nostril: Pakistan has a corrupt police force? Hmmm. Whodathunkit?

Wait, there are NON-corrupt police forces?

2014-04-12 09:03:19 AM
So the DA who filed the charges has been removed for gross incompetence, right?

If you kill a baby, it's infanticide. If a baby kills you it's....?

Well, ours in Sweden might be filled with stupid boys on a powertrip with cars and guns. But not corrupt. Technically correct! But still depressing.

Not only Sweden, almost everywhere. At least you haven't given yours military-grade weapons, body armor, helmets and armored vehicles yet, have you?

I was born gifted, and I have never ever been able to hold a steady job. Hell, English isn't even my first nor second language, anyway, because I see the world and people as stupid as you probably see this whole situation.  If I didn't have 4 advanced degrees, I would probably be on the streets asking for money, thank god for institutional elitism.

In america a cop would simply "accidentally" shoot the baby. Later he would claim he thought it was a ferocious golden retriever that was about to attack him.

the judge should be careful
change one aspect of the law
and they run the risk of losing their rape rooms

America does have a better one. The police in rich countries are no angels but overall they have nowhere near the overt and widespread corruption found in other places.

The kid was identified by multiple witnesses in a line-up and there was DNA evidence in the form of a dirty diaper at the scene of the crime, and they let the kid walk, or in this case crawl?

And the baby is a heavy drinker - had a bottle right there in the courtroom!

But apparently not gifted enough to post in the right thread? Or was that oblique humor that I missed, meaning it's time for my second cup of coffee?

Somehow your lack of insight towards the absurdity of this case doesn't surprise me.

What lack of insight? I'm just confused. You are apparently correct and you are on a whole 'nother intellectual level than the rest of us. I've read your comment 5 or 6 times and tried to parse it in the context of the article and I can't figure it out.

Definitely time for that second cup of coffee....

I always liked his work. Smart dude, too; that crazy trade deal where he traded his house for a new place to live in return for donating all his work to the city.... We could all wish for a deal so sweet.

A good thing too. Utter anarchy is what that would be. All those drooling little gummers with their bottle rockets and loaded diaper grenades. Babies are scary when they coordinate a riot.

If he wasn't guilty of anything, he should not have been hanging around those other troublemakers.

I like how the photographer took the time to line up that pole in the background just right.
