Only if it's the metal kind and you're working in a hot breaker panel.

Here is Shop Cat.

This little guy was brought into the shop I was doing work on my truck in November 2012 due to being abandoned by his mother on the farm. He was starving and pretty weak but got food and the warmth of the heated shop for the night. This, being a multiple day operation, to replace the fuel injectors was the perfect place for this little guy to grab a piece of my heart. His determination was strong.

The following morning, feeling much better,  his determination for friendship became clear. He would climb up the tire and squish himself between the inner fender and frame rail of the pickup, pulling himself up by valve covers and finally getting a good look at what was going on. Placing him back on the floor and out of the way was no use. He wanted to see what was going on and would soon be back in the engine bay.

He grew into a amazingly beautiful cat that was very much a friend of mine. When I would show up to farm and he would see me he would come running happy to see his friend. We would share some scratches and purrs and then he would be back off on his own business. This went on all of the summer of 2013.  He was a free cat on the farm and, as a male cat, was free to do as he wished which was often multiple day trips gone. I have not seen him since September 29th 2013. I often thought of bring him home, but I did not want to take away his farm freedom. I wish I could see him again.

I've lurked long enough and thought I would share this.

Not sure. I keep hoping he will find his way back to the farm, but has not thus far. I just hope he has found a new earthly home.

Had a chance to love up the barn cats.. Boo and the little female. Her ear is tipped..former feral momma all snipped now. She is quite the hunter. And she is teeny! 6 lbs maybe? Great ride on the other pony I ride..much better manners than the last time I rode him. Evidently my instructor and the owner have been riding him when he gives the young kid shiat.

Very Cute. Cats are very much individuals. Everyone is different just like us peoples.

Real Women Drink Akvavit: Good morning, Caturday folk! I hate to start the day out this way, but for those who were following Moo Kitty Sissy Doodles the best feral Lawn Warrior to ever sanctify my hand with her claws, she has sadly charged the Rainbow Bridge. Her coronavirus test came back positive, she was sliding very quickly and exhibiting neurological symptoms, so Wednesday was spent getting lots of love, being told stories and lots of chicken baby food before we helped her across just before 7 pm.

We gave it our best shot, but with acute FIP, there's really nothing you can do. Many cats survive coronavirus, but there are always those unlucky few whose illness take the course Moo's did, and in those cases it is 100% fatal. My mom and I are both devastated - I was SO CLOSE to having her socialized enough to get to the vet for Felv/FIV tests. shots, etc and then just having a ticked off cat in my house for a while! - and my mom is frantic about the other cats that roam the neighborhood, but I'm going to focus on the positive. I'm remembering the happiest day of Moo's life and it wasn't spent being hand fed baby food on the bed I made for her on my bathroom floor. That was terrible, though she was purring. The happiest day of her life was in the back yard, killing invisible fairy dragons. There must have been a whole swarm of them, because she was busy at that for a while. She won, of course. :-)

So, just like every other death I've been through, let's not be sad (though I am) and dwell on loss, let's celebrate the good things we do have and just post pictures of cats.

Thanks everyone for your help and support. I really can't thank you all enough.

/I might be a bit scarce, but I'll be around

Sorry to hear of your loss. We must celebrate the times we have together. And not let the ones that take us apart weigh to heavy.

Doctor Fegg: I bought a catnip plant recently. Is there anything special I should know about giving it to the resident cats? Just pull off a couple leaves and let them at it?

I have the same question!  I pulled a sprig off and gave it to Theo(dork), 'Bastard Cat and the Reason We Can't Have Nice Things', and he was all, 'Meh'.  I think he tossed it to the lower level of the kitty tower, where nobody bothers to sit,,,

I have found that all cats are different. My last kitteh Josie could not care less for catnip. Ever. Lily loves it....not all cats like it. Josie LOVED boxes and sacks!! Lily is all "meh" on those.
