Are minors even allowed to get breast implants?  WTF is wrong with comic book artists?

How long are they going to stay teens?

Shouldn't there also be some mention of mostly-nude-Starfire?

Welcome to Post-New 52 DC. Starfire is a member of Red Hood and the Outlaws.

What I don't understand is why this picture has Beast Boy as Green, when until recently the New 52 Beast Boy has been orange?

IOW, another desperate move by Didiot, et. al. to remain relevant.

I don't mean to sound bigoted towards aliens, but her bikini bottom looks really weird.

In the TV show he's green.

The New 52 comic was good for a bit but the last arc with them in the future was pretty bad. Hopefully this gets it back on track.

I would much rather have more episode of Young Justice. DC's animated stuff is the real thing. Their comic books are just a testing ground for stupid ideas that get fixed and end up in the finished product: The animated shows.

So Teen Titans. Are we talking 18 teen, or like 13 teen?

I'm asking for a friend.

DC is really having some troubles with their New 52. So many new lines cancelled after short runs.

Which is sad, because I really like the N52 version of Flash. The art is great.

But holy fark the Green Lantern stuff is a mess. There's now like 14 protagonists, and they all have nearly the same powers. What is this, the X-Men?

It may just be her pose that makes her bikini bottom look weird. Her right hip is higher up and closer to the "camera" than her left, so it makes sense that the right side of her bikini looks higher than the left.

It's also about getting new #1 issues out there. Marvel has been going nuts with just renumbering things.

I actually understand Marvel's reasoning, besides the #1 bump.

They're running books for as long as a creator stays on the book, for the most part, or as long as a story arc is running. After that, new #1 issues.

Hell, at this point, I'd almost rather see them just go to Month and year on the cover and no numbers at all, or Volume 3, Issue 1, or something like that.

As for DC? Well, it's like watching an old friend become a meth addict who shoves hamsters up their ass for a quarter so they can buy more meth.

Eventually that well's going to run dry; actually I'm surprised it's actually working right now without Marvel/DC giving them sparkly covers in order to overcharge.

Yet more proof that relying solely on a business model is equivalent to trying to ride out a typhoon in a straw hut.

Yeah, but that's Marvel, and they're pretty much just a bunch of talented people working for corporate shills who are chasing popularity statistics to exploit for money. I rather imagine every time a writer submits a story arc for approval, it gets handed back saying, "Approved, as long as you include Wolverine".

I gave the New 52 a chance, but super whore Starfire broke me. I mean after we got awsome Starfire from the Teen Titans animated series to go back to super whore Starfire and the farkup twins was a big disappointment. Not to mention Batman Inc.

That, sir, is an insult to the mentally challenged people in the world. Even they could create better comics than the Nu52.

/Hell, Axe Cop is better than all of the DCnU and the majority of Marvel, and that's written by a 5-year-old.

Is she another alien whatever?  Because if she's human she's being drawn as pretty definitely in her early to mid twenties there.

Maybe they're dropping the 'teen' and just going with 'titans' now?

// Albeit, some of my sarcasm comes from not having read much of the comic but thinking the show was pretty good.  I have the vague impression that the comic book was always that stupid.

I remember at one point it was "New Titans", to get rid of the Teen part. The New52 versions are all youngified, and with no Dick Grayson, etc, they'll be Teens for a while.

OK, I admit, I haven't read a non-Booster Gold DC comic since I stopped working at a comic shop years ago, and nothing since this New 52 crap started, but...

not that simple.  when she and Raven switched bodies, Raven-in-Starfire's-body had to embrace specific emotions to use Starfire's power.  flying?  "unbridled joy."  super-strength?  "boundless confidence."  starbolts?  "righteous fury!"

I don't remember fear or anger being mentioned.  she's not Hulk.  :)

I guess it's a more extreme version of her original lasso.  Kinda like Liefeld drawing huge guns, et. al.

/Also: plenty of pouches

Jesus that's horrible, reminds me of when hope showed up in x-men. Most artists did really well at drawing her to resemble a typical 16 year old girl with normal proportions, except for Greg land aka captain porn face.

The crazy part is that Pouchomania was involved with the Nu52 then bailed after the bit he was working on wrapped up.  How screwed up do things have to be at DC for that hack to jump overboard at the first chance?

I'm more excited for the new suicide squad, if only because it's a basically unknown artist who won a contest and then got the job.  Let's see if he can keep to a schedule.

And I don't fault the new #1 Teen Titans.  That Lobell run was awful.

/don't get the new52 hate, there's still a lot of good stuff and bad on both sides

And than there's just when they just want to bump up prices by a 1$ because a comic is doing well *cough* Daredevil *cough*
