And the 'actors' on this show will know they are on TV?

That's kind of meta

Will it be a dark and gritty reboot?

Very good, Paramount. Short, but pointless.

With Cylons, hopefully.

I assume they're going to make the real show, with a live, orphan baby and everything.

The Truman Show isn't a how-to guide, goddammit!

I think it could be a pretty interesting idea.

Truman Show was a great movie, in my opinion, but a TV show will have tons of potential.

I would actually be intersted in see things before the events of the movie.

Please, stop giving TLC ideas.

It would have seemed bizarre in the time this movie came out to accept cameras everywhere, embedded in everything. Now, we don't bat an eye. So to make it more timely they don't limit his world to the dome. Have it be in the real world, but he's filmed using drones, google glass, lapel cams, those same ubiquitous cameras that now inhabit our world.

And then you continuously fark with him 'The Game' style.

A corporation is more likely to get straight-up "adopting" a child, thanks to the "Corporations are people" bullshiat spewed today.

Where in the article does it say they're making a reality version of it?  Oh, you didn't read it.

Watched that movie recently on Netflix. It withstood the test of time pretty well.

I thought that was implied with the Spotless Mind comment.

I also think this could have real potential.  I would love it if they did commercials the same way the movie did, with just very obvious product placement when Truman talks to his neighbors.  Loved the movie.

Nope just a tangent on Carey in a straight roll in a compelling film. A show based on a movie based on a, fictional, reality show show is stupid.

I love the idea behind the Truman Show. It would be cool to see the whole thing from conception (pun sorta intended). Building the dome, the behind-the-scenes workings, inner turmoil with if it's ethical, etc.

No, no joking.

I think that the Truman Show was a great movie.

I think that the concept behind it has tons of potential to tell an interesting story in TV.

I think that it could make a great show.

It WILL be a great show? I don't know... It could end up sucking.

I just think that it's a concept that could be developed great for TV.

One of my all time favorite movies, maybe top 5 even. Still holds up too. Not sure how it would work as a TV show but it could be interesting.
