(Salon)   Forget #cancelcobert, Jon Stewart said racist jokes and cursed me out on set. Well...the comedian who warmed up the audience said something I found to be rude, and Stewart used the F word, but not directly at me. Oh, and this was in 2008   (salon.com) divider line 20

That's Salon.com's tagline.

Ah, Salon, the web magazine blog shiat machine that demonstrates it's advanced understanding of humor and satire by repeatedly picking and dramatically losing fights with Patton Oswalt on Twitter.

1) Most comedy is at the expense of somebody
2) He wasn't talking about YOU
3) You were at his place of business being disruptive
4) Maybe you just didn't understand the jokes.
5) Please de-sand you vagina.

"Because its farking funny" is not "cursed me out", its not aimed at you and its not composed specifically to provide offense which is kinda the definition of cursing.

But if this person was capable of understanding this complex topic they wouldn't have been complaining about the jokes in the first place.

It wasn't like that when it was ad-free.

sammyk: Solty Dog: Not knocking The Daily Show, because I do like the format, but some of the corespondents get under my skin. I fast forward through anything involving Samantha Bee or Kristen Schaal. But just because that humor isn't for me, doesn't mean they have no place on the show.

Being reasonable and FF'ing or changing the channel when you don't like something will not be tolerated on fark.

I feel the same way about Jessica Williams.

A woman, a woman and a woman. Gee, what a coincidence.

Yet a political donation made by the CEO of Mozilla 6+ years ago is a huge offense, amirite??

Yep, those things are EXACTLY the same. Oh wait, I am not a retard, they are NOT the same thing.

Here's a good example of the downside of the internet: giving a voice to people like this.

Good sentiment from the comments: this person was so deeply offended and affected by this comedian's act that she can neither remember his name nor any of his material, but of course can punch up the big star's name to get her skim-milk essay to look like cream.  Humor is all about context, timing, and delivery.  Anything can be funny, and any joke can be ruined... this is just an attention grab.

Pretty lame, Millhouse.

She's improving.  She's really young, and I thought her bits were really unsubtle and annoying at first.  But her more recent pieces have definitely been better.  She has lots of potential, and if she develops on TDS the way others have, she could be great in a few years.

This. Also, she says that the warm up act "sucked" - and yet when she tried to call them out to Stewart and he defended it everyone else in the audience erupted in to, in her own words, wild applause. It seems she may just be seeing something that wasn't there.

She doesn't seem to be seriously considering the possibility that she really was wrong about it, and is just being a "joyless harridan".
