Meh, we've seen Floyd giant inflatables before.

Does she make out with it as well?

Reading the first few word of the headline, my pervy brain filled in the rest of it with "a giant inflatable sex toy to use at her concerts"

/see all you other pervs at this week's meeting

Must be hard to try to be hyper and upbeat and sing the music she does when she's having this emotional collapse.
My last pet that died did so when I was ten, so I'm not really sure what a normal grieving reaction is, but I feel like she's over reacting.

I do not do the blaming of she. When the roommate of me does the succumference to the horrible diet of she I will make from this the bouncing house as the stomach model in the tribulation. Many individuals cope through the inflatables. 2 in 23 according to the recentest of the studies.

In fairness, the napkin DID read 18" tall.

She is proving to be brilliant at publicity and is taking minimal talent to the bank.  Good on her.

Are we using 1st ed D+D conventions?  Because if we're outdoors, that's going to be one big dog.

Now, just think about this for a second here. The process, I mean.

April 1, dog dies. This is tragic, especially for a younger person who perhaps is having death hit close to home for the first time. But, within 48 hours, she not only has this inflatable....is it too much to refer to it as an idol?....made to spec, delivered to the concert venue, presumably has someone rehearse getting this thing inflated and rolled out on stage, has it integrated into the act, presumably chooses between which two songs it will appear.

And no one...not one single person in her life, at any point, says to her "You know what, hon, maybe not so much."

I'm not trying to say this is right or wrong, I'm just amazed at what celebrity culture breeds.

What a Floyd giant inflatable may look like.

2014-04-10 08:47:24 AM
Well, Floyd was a dog I used to own
He used to answer the telephone
And every now and then, he'd take the truck into town for groceries

Yeah, Floyd and I got along real well
At the checker board, ol' Floyd was hell
And he never minded taking turns at doing the dishes

Now when Floyd was just about three years old
He started acting kind of bold
And he's chasing after that beagle down across the highway

Well he's down there every day and night
I said, "Floyd, you know you're gonna have to fight"
He said, "I've already whipped everything between here and the railroad"

(Chorus)
Floyd, you are a good dog
But the women got you rinnin wild and crazy as a loon
Floyd, you are a good dog
But you're chsing cars, hanging out at bars and howling at the moon

Well now, one night old Floyd came stragglin' in
He's looking bad but he's pulling a grin
He said "'Mone, I just took a wife and I want you to meet her"

Now she didn't really have much to say
And it's plain to see she's in a family way
She said, "Floyd, you better whip on back and get my suitcase"

Well Floyd never made it to the other side
'Cause right in the middle of the road he died
Flattened by a trucker hauling dog food.

Now old Floyd's gone and she's living here
Just yappin' at her kids and drinkin' my beer
And she don't drive the truck nor do the dishes

(Chorus)
Floyd, you were a good dog
But you never knew when to chase 'em or when to turn around and run
Yeah Floyd, you were a good dog
But now you're flat out on the freeway and drying in the sun

Now old Floyd's gone and I'm kinda glad
'Cause if he were here now he'd sure be mad
'Cause ain't one of them pups looks anything like him

(Chorus)
Yeah Floyd, you were a good dog
But you never knew when to chase 'em or when to turn around and run
Oh Floyd, you were a good dog
But now you're flat out on the freeway and drying in the sun
Flat out on the freeway and drying in the sun

I would never doubt the sincerity of grief one feels at losing a beloved pet.  I have lost many myself and it is always painful.  But can we agree that maybe Mylie Cyrus has jumped the shark?  You never know if you've gone far enough until you've gone too far.

Also, she has three other dogs that she should be loving on, instead of being hung up one the one that passed.   Snap out of it girl.

I'm not saying I'm stone-hearted, I have a dog myself who is getting up there and I dread when I have the same experience, but life goes on and I will get a new dog and be content in knowing old dog had a very pleasant and indulged life.

Truth be told, I wouldn't mind having an inflatable version of the dog I lost in November, but a large inflatable Dachshund might not have the same effect.

I'm amazed that she is this personally involved in her stage show. With this fast of a turnaround she HAS to be doing the choreography herself (which explains all the weird) and at least managing the stage setting.

Mark my words, she'll be on a Madonna/Cher/Streisand level before she's done. She works her ass off, she can actually sing, and she knows how to purchase publicity wholesale.

Out of all of the things I've seen people do to remember their animals, this isn't so strange. Hell, some people have them stuffed.

I think it's kinda cool.

Yes, she is pretty and all that, technically, but she's one of the few celebrities I find to be GROSS. Let me put it this way, I can't get the image of a raw chicken corpse tweaking out of my head once she's mentioned.

Also, poor dog. It died knowing it belonged to Miley Cyrus.

Remember when you were young?
You held in your tongue.
Shine on, you crazy Cyrus.

Now there's a gap 'tween your thighs
Like your father's waist size
Shine on, you crazy Cyrus

You were caught on the crossfire of childhood and stardom,
Blowin' the Disneys
Come on, you target for Internet laughter
Come on you banger(z), you headcase, you twerker, and shine.

It's funny you mention Madonna, because after that Robin Thicke thing, that's a thought I had. If Madonna had done that 10-15  years prior, she would have been hailed as a visionary risk taker. Hell, that's pretty much what happened, when during the VMA's or whatever she got that bed out on stage and spent 5 minutes pretending to ride some backup dancer. I think mostly, Miley/her camp just miscalculated on the way to go with her career. When it comes to pushing boundaries in that way, there aren't really any more to push now, unless you're willing to like strip naked and actually have penetrative sex with someone on on-stage.

The way to go with her is like the Katy Perry route...be sexy, but keep a bubble-gum feel to it all. She went to far in the other direction trying to get away from the Disney thing, but yeah, she finds a balance over the next few years (still only 21), she'll be able to just crank out records/sell out tours for as long as she wants.

I get it, sure there is a bit of poor me, I am hurting, somewhat AW things goin on...
but at the same time I can understand it in the context of the relationship with a dog...
here is someone who is constantly under a semi microscopic view, judged on every other action and whim, constantly around people who are trying to get stuff, or sycophants, or biatching at them...   whatever, pressure and judgement abound.

What Floyd represented was a friend who she could trust completely, a confidant, a true friend, someone ( or thing) she could trust to be true.

I am not one to give in to celebrity and all that garbage, and I can see the AW elements, yet this is someone who in the last year, self induced or not, has gone through some major life changes, criticism, judgements...   from the twerk, to her break up with some dude, to all the other stuff, and is still young and developing emotionally...    so that friend most likely played a major role in relieving her of those pressures, wether she brought them on herself or not, and the loss of that kind of security blanket kind of friend hurts immensely.

Or, maybe the whole thing gets to me because I love my dogs and if I was a millionaire type person would have them immortalized in giant inflatable form too if I lost them and could afford it.

/ actually i would be going the woodcut, tattoo, or bronze statue type thing
// no taxidermy for my furry friends though, that is just disturbing, farking creepy
