Jesus farking Christ, you have to slog through that farking thing to get to the point where you discover the solar eclipse will be visible for Antarctica and Australia and... Nobody else... He;ll, the Aussies are only gonna get a partial eclipse.

That website sucks. I appreciate that they are explaining correctly how the moon's phases work, and why every new moon is not a solar eclipse and why every full moon is not a lunar eclipse, but it's like a science version of DailyFail. A giant pic, 2 sentences, another pic, one sentence, another giant picture, 3 sentences, and so on. You scroll, scroll, scroll(20 times) to see the map of the solar eclipse... Giant font, and it's part of this new trend where the opening picture takes up your entire screen.

Sorry guys, your website blows.

That is the most baffling collection of words I have ever seen.

Much like anything "2" must be appended with "Electric Boogaloo", "back-to-back" is burned into my brain.

"Back 2 Back" is the name of the first porno I ever bought - VHS in the discount bin. No box, just a tape with a label.

I thought it was two movies back to back, and I was getting the most 'bang for the buck'.

Sure, I was a nerd. I had 14.4 dialup. I had a nice collection of Rusty N Edie's pics, some nice AVIs too. I thought I was 'versed' in porn.
The movie turned out to be almost all anal - plus some midget/gay/manlywoman action in the middle - and huge c*ck anal toward the end - oh and one guy had a totally bent dick.. I'm sure to a child of the Goatse generation, it's no big deal, but back then it was a bit of a shock to my young eyes..(much like your first Goatse link attack).

Why the confusion? It's the classic back-to-back max. Standard stuff really.

Jesus, I love the simple "if you live here, go outside at xx:xx time and you will be able to see the lunar/solar eclipse" directions in that article. So succinct and clear! Thanks,  Subs!

Yo momma.

Yeah, right. As if anyone can predict an eclipse. ;-)

Meh

I'm more excited about the total solar eclipse that will ho over my house on August 21, 2017.

OMG! APRIL 15TH IS DOOMSDAY THIS YEAR!

That reminds me. I haven't done my taxes yet. Stupid government.

It's Hot Shots: Part Deux.

(I read the Electric Bugaloo/Back to Back post, above. There are alternative memes. Electric Bugaloo is just fun to say or type. It reminds me of Futurama. Of course, an electric Bugaloo is just an electric Volks Wagen Beetle with wings. But hey, you get a little bud vase. Cool.)

Agreed. I sped through it, amazed that Richard Simmons and/or Pee Wee Herman knew as much about eclipses as a 10 year old with an inhaler problem.

The one that was over North America 2 or 3 years ago was cool because it happened right as the sun was going down(Well, drop below the mountains west of SLC). We have aspen trees in the front yard, and a West facing house. When I opened the door, the shadows from the leaves created 200 eclipses on my living room wall. I have never seen anything as cool.

Hey, yeah! I'd forgotten about that. A similar situation with bamboo on the west coast and it was cool as hell

That effect was more instructive for my kids than just looking at the eclipse(Or pics of it). It was beautiful and I forgot to get the camera... :-(

"And normally - under practically all circumstances - that shift-of-nodes will be enough to prevent a total (or annular) solar eclipse from immediately following or preceding a total lunar eclipse... But it's happening this month!

On April 29th, an annular solar eclipse will fall on the continent of Antarctica"

Maximum eclipse trolling.

And every "paragraph" ends with an exclamation point, like I'm reading a "science is cool" page for kids.

Also, eclipses are neat!

Antarctica IS a continent.

I remember 10 years ago having a solar eclipse (partial into sunset where I was) followed a couple weeks later by the moon rising eclipsed.  So the once-a-decade sounds about right.  I dunno if once-a-decade is "incredibly rare" in my book, but oh well.

Sign of the end times!
This was foretold in the suppressed gospel according to Dave!
The Vatican know all about it and right this they're finalizing the plan to burrow beneath the earth's surface to escape the pending Doom when a multi headed hydra with hydras for heads (that in turn have hydas for heads)  wrecks untold destruction upon the world of man!!!

What's that Nurse?
Time for my medicine?
