Before someone claims conspiracy please remember that this is Florida and it is safer to err on stupidity when something like this pops up.

You see there is an opportunity here. Selling depends in the voting parking lot...

Whenever I look at a ballot, I see the choices available and I want to shiat myself.

Two choices isn't really a choice.

You have no choice

Pick the one your party gives you or the other side wins and we can't have that

Yeah, South Park covered that a while ago. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douche_and_Turd

But I absolutely agree, a two-party system is only barely better than a one-party one.

/then again, it's all one giant plutocracy now anyway
//your vote counts as much as you can afford to make it count

Except:

One of thsoe is a hygiene product which is potentially harmful and unnecessary if used as designed.

The other is food made of fecal matter, which could make you *fatally ill* if used as devised.

So I suppose the episode did have a good point, albeit not perhaps the one they were intending.

Easy fix, I will just unzip and piss in the lobby of the poling place, on the election person that is blocking the bathroom.

2014-04-09 10:26:33 PM
If the people who are there to vote are not allowed to use the restroom, then the assholes who are working there shouldn't be allowed either.

As soon as the jerks who are enforcing the policy are forced to live by the same rules, the policy will change.

On the plus side, it's possibly the first time in history that predominantly Republican voters will be disenfranchised. 70.57% white and most likely elderly (the rest of us can fight the urge to pee every twelve minutes). That's Republican to a tee.

Actually I can understand why they made this rule. The Americans with Disabilities Act requires that any public accomodations be 'available to all.'

Let's say a particular building is a polling place, but its only working bathroom is up a flight of stairs. Someone could sue under the ADA because other facilities had bathrooms available, and this one was denying the bathroom to someone with a handicap. The only way to protect themselves from the lawsuit is to prohibit all places from having a bathroom available to the public.

The fault for this rule comes from people who make their income suing people.

I believe the point is, in fact, "both choices suck, as usual."

Also mocking PETA, but that's like shooting fish in a barrel.

A deputy supervisor of elections, John Mendez, told Dubin in an Aug. 1, 2013, email that "in in order to ensure that individuals with disabilities are not treated unfairly, the use of rest rooms by the Voters is not allowed on election day."

With reasoning like this I'm surprised the people who made this decision are able to breath without an instruction manual.

What about grammar? We still able to use that?

I know it appears as though I was the individual who provided the submission of the abomination unto all which is the English language of the headline of this but I did not do so. I would know that this is to say two bad.

not 'til election day, then only tell the good voters.

Fixing an issue to be ADA compliant...Your not only doing it wrong your making it worse for your self.   Also Its entirely possible there are some federal rules requiring bathroom facilities to be provided at poling places.

Seriously if they place you set up as a poling location is not ADA compliant and the landlord is unwilling or unable finanically to make it ADA compliant relocate the poling location.

Could be solved very nicely by renting accessible Porta-Potties for each site that doesn't meet the requirements inside.

Your call.

This has ramifications that don't align with American values.

How can anyone who supports our country possible agree with this?

This brings to mind Judge Death's conclusion that since all crime was committed by the living, living must be a crime.  Thus, dispensing justice means everyone must be killed.

Yeah, I won't even blame them.  It's a catch-22 situation.  In the long run they could move the polling places but it's too late for that this year.

No, no.

A "polling location" is where you vote.

Although, with all those stories about Republicans "poling" in public restrooms, I can see how you might be confused.

The longest I ever waited vote was the great recall where over 130 people ran for governer of California. A dozen actors a few murderers and one pervert a more wretched hive of scum and vilany were not seen for some time.

Can't remember the last time I waited in line to vote, or had to leave my house for that matter.  Too bad the rest of the country can't catch up with us here in the Pacific NW.

Is Florida the only state that you have to wait in long ass lines to vote? I live in dense Chicago and never seen lines like that

Be firm. Be resolute. Make and keep eye contact. "I'm about 15 seconds from having to piss. I can either use the bathroom that you are blocking OR I can piss on your leg. It's your call."

Why can't it be nice and simple like the voting booths in North Korea?

Cewley: only an asshole like Prick Scott could come up with something like this.

Who knew Rick Scott runs the local election boards in the most Democrat county in the state.  If you can read, the TFA states this is an issue in Miami-Dade County.  On a related note, it's going to be awesome come November when Scott wins re-election and the people with an insane irrational hate of Scott heads explode.

kling_klang_bed: Why can't it be nice and simple like the voting booths in North Korea?

If you view the past fifty years of voting rights in America you would see that the trend does lean towards "nice and simple".

Pick A) or B) for your leader.

Can't complicate these things with alternatives now can we?

To be fair, their reasoning is sound. "If we don't do this, someone can sue us, and they'll win."

Bush vs. Gore, anyone? I'm amazed anyone in FL even votes after that whole debacle, considering Jed and crew will simply vote for you instead.

This works on DC metro also. Just politely ask the station manager if you use their bathroom, while at the same time projecting a firm " bathroom or bio hazard incident right farking here, your call" vibe.
