Gotta give him some credit for taking the high road and not getting all lawyery. I have to imagine that the folks behind it will do the same and give him something in return for some good press.

High road? The dude simply forgot to pick the champion. People do it all of the time. They get to a point where they walk away from their bracket to think about it and forget to finish it.  To believe this guy he made and submitted his picks and never double checked to make sure it was ok.

Man, I remember back in the 90's I was this close* to getting Christina Aguleria in bed.

*close being an irregular 5,343 sq mi area.

Smeggy Smurf: Sure he did

You do realize there's a submitted bracket to verify it, right?

On the bright side he saved himself from owing about $47,000 in taxes.

The best a lawyer and Warren Buffet should responsibly do is put a feature in next year saying your bracket is incomplete before submitting it.

You would have an issue with $53,000 tax free? That's a nice payday for guessing right.

Why would Yahoo let you enter a contest and not check to see if you finished the bracket? Oh yeah because Yahoo.

I did half my bracket and saved it. It said in red that it wasn't completed. What do you want; Marissa Mayer to personally call everyone who doesn't finish the first time?

In case it isn't clear, I meant to have that as a response to lelio.

that feature existed this year.  It didn't let me submit mine until all of the picks were made.  There was some pick i forgot to make and it caught it.

I'd love a call from Marissa Mayer, actually.  She's quite attractive.

I forgot to make one pick in the 2nd round in one of my brackets this year.  Didn't cost me anything as I would have gotten it wrong anyway.  Still finished third in that pool, 2nd in my other one.  First year I've ever been top-10 in any pool.  Too bad my Badgers couldn't quite pull it out.
