It's not going to be 24 x 7 weather subby, they're just basically taking all the weather coverage they originally had during the day on weekdays and restoring it. You'll still get shows about prospectors and all that junk on the weekends

/yeah my submission was better
//and more technically correct
///the best kind of correct!

Good thing weather never happens on the weekend then.

Weather Nation is going to be sticking around too.

I like the fact that a content producer blinked when it came to wanting more money.  Especially when the content sucked.  I will find it interesting to see what happens when another niche channel gets carried away.

This seemed to be an easy one, though, because DirecTV had a Weather Channel replacement already.  Unless they want to keep making more channels as replacements, this was kind of a one-trick pony.

I can't even remember the last time I actually turned to the Weather Channel. I just recall a few years back trying to see what the weather was going to be before we headed out somewhere and all I could get was freakin' reality crap. After that I stopped going to them for anything.

Yay, 7 more people can see me in TV.

Weather.com is the most useless horseshiat I've ever seen in my life. Weather.gov may not be pretty, but's functional and intuitive.

Weather.com looks like Buzzfeed, and half the articles aren't even weather related.

Wait...

The Weather Channel was missing from my DirecTV?

This is why I'd love to find a free/cheap 12ft C-Band dish and grab the NOAAPORT feed and digest all that data myself.

60mbps of nexrad data, high resolution GOES images, high resolution APT & HRPT from the polar orbiting POES birds, and forecasts & watches/warning.  All the shiat that Weather.com & Wunderground get and display without all the associated mierda de toro.
