Wow.

That's a pretty big fall from being the most successful athlete in the 2000 Summer Olympics.


Well, when you consider that he has spent his life up to that point intensely focused on and devotedly training for one thing; and has done so in a sport that is notoriously lonely in its training regimen: it's actually surprising that we don't see more "former child athlete" featuring gymnasts and swimmers than "former child star" stories.
