HACK FASTER!

Even though I totally agree with their cause, I don't see the point of it.

Then again, until Americans learn not to bend over backward to give up their interest because of lobbying groups, nothing would help.

Then again, this is not the politics tab.

For consistency of message, shouldn't they be #OpPalestine?

Hell if I know, it makes me feel old and stupid to not get the point. I understand the motivations for money and/or power, there are all kinds people doing things for those but this...

well if the point is to say that Israel should be wiped of the map, I think that ship has already sailed.

If you mean what was the point of the web page hack...I haven't a clue what they think this accomplishes, other than the fact that the media is talking about it giving them the attention that mommy and daddy didn't. So um win for them?

Sounds equivalent to putting a flaming bag of dog shiat on Israel's porch, then ringing the bell and running away.

Or #OpMoab
Or #OpCanaan
Or #OpTransJordan?

Well, as long as they don't worship Baal any longer! Cool, always did love me some Ishtar/ Astarte Love Goddess sex ceremonies. But, can't we all just get along and work more closely with all those Hittites, Assyrians, Babylonians, Sumerians and any others worshipping Sun, Mountain, Eagle~Lions and or what ever pagan gods you are searching after! Ramaen!

Backwards isn't the direction we're bending, sadly.

Perhaps it is suggesting that if you are still looking for Israel becasue it cannot be found on that website, Palestine wiould be a good place to start searching, starting with the occupied portions.

Attacking the computers of the country that created Stuxnet is a very poor decision.

Anonymous pointing out dropped criminal cases and general internet rage? I guess I'm fine with that.

But they're wading, again, into political territory that... for lack of a better term, isn't constructive. The difference between being a political group and being terrorists is pretty much just one of labeling - plus their political ideology, or lack there of, is all over the map. So you have people associating with a group at large who say... want to cover more news regarding Egypt and are Pro-Democracy Pro-secularism crossing over into hacking Israel because.... teh j00z? I mean, in the same time frame they're arguing against a Muslim Brotherhood mess up, then about them being arrested and killed, then about being pro Hamas? I just don't get it.

Would they be against an Anonymous group that sacked the Palestinian websites? Is it just activism for its own sake? I really don't know. The tents too big, and there's too many people in it for any clear sort of message. Are they pro Hamas? I mean, really? I doubt it. Then why do that? And which Palestine? It's pretty vague. The West Bank wants pretty much nothing to do with Gaza - that's an internal political and social division that mucking up websites certainly isn't going to help.... and if by help, which side are they on? Hamas or the PA?

Even with the disorganization of the whole occupy thing there was clearly an issue - banks, toxi assets, etc... raising awareness and demanding something be done led to... some things being done. I wouldn't call it a solid win, but it definitely motivated enough people to get the ball rolling. This is like way laying into the middle of an extremely complex political debate and just throwing elbows, because reasons.

I don't know...

It's a weird world we live in.

Researcher: Pro-secularism crossing over into hacking Israel because.... teh j00z?

you answered your own question there, you'd realize that if you knew more about the situation. Israel is a non-secular government, and currently they are insisting that Palestine acknowledge them not as a state, but as a Jewish state (and this is causing some discomfort on the other side, i mean, what happens to non Jews in a Jewish state? what does it mean to be a Jewish state?). Even worse for the palestinians if you expect israeli settlements to keep expanding into palestine, which they are (we live here now! this is now a Jewish state! get out mooslim beasts!)
