Of all the worthless things an elected body can do, the Resolution is at the top.

At best it's recognizing the Skeeter Holler Grange Blue Ribbon Winner for Most Luxuriantly Plumed Cock in the name of getting a photo of said cock in a lawmaker's newsletter, with the owner of said cock grinning vacantly. At worst it's something "controversial" that gets the derpers from both sides raging about the Trilateral Gay Masonic Illuminati using PETA to put estrogen in the hand sanitizer to promote and/or prevent war with Antarctica.

Genghis Khan came and he completely destroyed this town and butchered over 80% of the population. But many of the famed stonemasons he kept alive, to build a monument glorifying him, a huge, fantastical beast representing the power of the Khan. Now, during his reign, 40 million people died in over a hundred years. To the point that even the global warming got better during those hundred years, because so many people were killed.  And in this region, many were ritually slain at the base of that enormous winged statue, in an annual display commemorating the original conquest of the city. That statue is no more, of course, and theinfamous festival ended with the fall of the empire, but the stories have been passed down over many generations, and even today, centuries later and a continent away, many have heard of the Merv Griffin Show.

That works better if you derpwin it with evolution. It goes along with the straw monkey argument that creationists like to use.

I think the better one would be The Holocaust, like Global Warming, is a myth. You can tell because there were the Jews in America weren't being rounded up into camps. That goes along with the whole "There's can't be global warming cause it's winter here" argument.

Yes, as a matter of fact I do.

I also recall he skipped several closer theaters and picked the one that specifically didn't allow people licensed to carry concealed to have guns on the premises.

I recall that he booby-trapped his apartment with dozens of homemade grenades and several gallons of gasoline.

I also recall that his 100 round drum magazine jammed after fewer than 50 rounds, making the AR-15 he carried useless.  So in order to prevent future assholes bent on mass murder from suffering that same embarrassment, Colorado banned unreliable high capacity magazines that are likely to jam, but left the easily and quickly swappable and much more reliable low capacity magazines still legal.

I also recall that the laws Colorado passed were so unpopular with their constituents that no less than 2 state senators were recalled and replaced (including the president of the Colorado Senate).  And a 3rd resigned her seat and was replaced by another Democrat so that another successful recall couldn't "flip" the Colorado Senate from Democrat to Republican control.  Colorado had never before had a recall election in it's entire history as a state.

So yeah, I remember that.

That's called Lamarckian inheritance! Which is a bit unfair to Lamarck, who didn't originate the idea. Also, thanks to studies into epigenetics it turns out there might be more to the theory than we thought possible before, with stuff like whether our grandparents grew up during a famine affect our metabolic rate.

So yeah, I remember that.

do you remember what it has to do with the holocaust?

Um, I didn't see them talk about abortion, didn't really see them advocate for guns. Maybe it's because I'm not a modern "journalist". Seriously, TFA is a piece of shiate.
