I only drink Radeau Red, Bumppo's Brown, and Pathfinder's Porter.

You probably never heard of them, but you can get them at the walk-in vagina.

Gecko Gingrich: Deslidify IPA is my fav!

#10 didn't come through on that deslide.

So, here it is:

Quest Kermesse Pumpkin Saison
"Quest has not disappointed with their offerings, and the brewmaster's pumpkin recipes are legendary," he said. "This beer is no exception. A lightly sweet and meaty pumpkin flavor settles in first, followed by a dry, earthy, yeasty finish, but the pumpkin flavor manages to hold on into the aftertaste and leave nutmeg and pumpkin pie flavor before it's done with you. Naturally, only available near a pumpkin themed holiday of your choice."

/I'm impressed there are 3 SC beers on there.

1 beer until I saw the linked pages, you mean.

I bought a Coors Light in Burger King just so I could say so. It was where I grew up, St. Thomas...

There's probably 11 breweries you've never heard of that opened in the last hour.    It's a crazy good time to be a beer drinker.

I only drink Bud Light. It's a tiny micro-brew, that I'm sure you've never heard of.

I have some Old Speckled Hen in the beer fridge. Bought it for the name, found out it's named for a famous MG car.

I drink Shiner. I don't care that it is part of a huge beer company now, I don't care that you can get it almost anywhere. It is the best beer in my opinion, and the only beer I drink.

Stupid beer populism.

Step 1: drink what everyone else drinks

Step 2: be resentful about it.  Blame hipsters if necessary.

i'd guess there are a shiat-ton of beers you haven't heard of if you buy all your beer at the local convenience store, but then you probably aren't the type that would give a fark about said beers anyway.

Never heard of them? Subby, I invented each recipe and sold them to the respective brewers. Nice try.

That said, I've finally settled the debate of which beer is my favorite. I'd been rotating between Rogue Dead Guy, St. Arnold Amber and Dale's Pale Ale. I've decided the answer is Dead Guy.

Just tried Blue Point Toasted Lager. Amazing stuff.

Recently brewed a whiskey barrel stout that came out amazing.

Currently working on a cider that goes down like champagne and a "lawn mower beer"

I've had one of those beers in that list. So there. I win?

2014-04-07 12:20:01 PM
better than the "8 beers you should never drink again!!1!!!!" list that I've seen 273 times since yesterday.  No, I don't care if there are GMOs in my beer.  And just because caramel is made with ammonia doesn't mean it is ammonia.

Idiots.

It is Faux Snobbery unless you are drinking beer you made yourself.

I suspect the micro brewery beer craze is past its sell-by date. My daughter and son-in-law brought wine to a recent birthday bash. After I'd bought a six pack of the best in-state micro brewery beer for them.

No matter how hydrated i am. Sucks.

Have not had that particular beer discussed in the article, but Thirsty Dog in general is very good.
And you can drink it fresh at the brewery bar a couple days a week.
Just have to be careful when getting off the barstool to watch for loaded forklifts driving by a few feet behind you.

TFA (Dogfish Piercing Pils):
"For those who are still holding out against pilsners, stop it," said Richards. "Go get one of these ... now!

And if you like pilsners, hold out against this one.  It's ok, but not really like any pilsner - some sweetness from the pear (yeah), but very hoppy (like a lot of Dogfish non-ancient beers).  If you like IPA's, they try it.  If you like pilsners, you aren't missing anything.

Years ago, they had "Johnny Rawton Pils" that was really good, only in the brewpubs though.  Then they had Golden Shower (later renamed Golden Era), an "Imperial Pils" that was just meh.  Now Piercing Pils.  Dogfish Head just doesn't seem to be interested in making non-extreme lagers.

/Golden Shower bottles still sell for a premium on ebay - even empty ones.
//It they were full, you wouldn't want to drink it after all these yers.

My wife and I don't drink your pedestrian swill, because, frankly, we're better than you people.
We only consume 18th century Rüdesheimer Apostelwein, Chateau Lafite Rothschild and Veuve Cliquot.

I also don't own a TeeVee and I use a non-ironic rotary phone.
Pretty much King Sh*T of F*ck Island over here.

I actually drove over an hour to Kentucky to get a case of this because no one stocks it in Ohio. They were sold out... A victim of InBev, but luckily, Carib is still brewing it and finally started importing it back into the US.

If you like dark beer and see this on the shelf, you owe yourself to try a 6 pack.

Yep, good food always involved. Grilled chicken at friends house on Sat.
Returned the favor on Sunday as I did a 7 hour pork shoulder for pulled pork on my egg cooker!

Hmm, drank some Sweetwater brews, a fair amount of New Belgium Fat Tire, and a bit of Cigar City Jai Alai for good measure!

I do enjoy a tasty beer and am very happy to be living in a time when there are so many available, but if you're resorting to a simile with Puck from A Midsummer Night's Dream in your reviews, you've become a little pretentious for me.  The beer hipster saturation point is at an apex.

I like IPAs and I wasn't that into this pilsner.

Get it for the "oooooh! pear!" factor, but just one bottle.
