How is it tongue in cheek to say many politicians want to rape, steal, and then murder anyone who opposes them?

They are power hungry sociopaths who want one thing: power. Whether that means money, influence, political clout, or whatever, there's no reason to go into politics, and no way to succeed, unless you're a sociopath.

When you say "tongue in cheek," you have to specify which cheek.

Spoken like someone who's never had to deal with a Labor Right enforcer.  (The Mob never really got mixed up in the unions down here.  The Mob knew what was good for them.)

dragonchild: Her political success and survivability are inversely proportional to her likeability?

Fark, if only.  I swear the most hateable PMs we've had in my lifetime have had the best policies.
