I get the article, but in general Sam's Club is awesome.  Idk why subby would assume SC=Crappy food.  Must be a pretentious Costcoer :)

If you're buying chicken nuggets at Sam's Club, a little bit of plastic is probably the best thing in there.

Their rotisserie chicken is very good and has to be a loss leader.

It's like $4 for a huge roasted chicken.

Edited for accuracy.

Nah when they buy that many yard birds, they are definitely paying less than 4 bucks a bird. And it's not like they can keep them around.

Agree they are delicious though.

Costco is pretentious now?

Keep on reaching for the stars, America.

Because Sams is owned by Walmart and since Walmart is low class that makes Sams low class.

No, Costco isn't pretentious. The people who shop there, on the other hand...

/I'm just going by the average Costco thread. The people I actually know who shop there are no different than the Sam's shoppers I know.
//Do I have the apostrophe right on Sam's? I'm confused when a word with an apostrophe is possessive.

Luckily I don't do business with any Wal-mart owned entity.

Because its the stores fault for a plastic scraper on a random machine in a processing facility, that also produces food for every other store in the US, falls apart.

Brilliant.  shiat happens, especially in high speed food processing.  I worked in a canned bean factory for years and some of the stories I have would scare you away from ever eating anything that came processed.

It's just a new paradigm: chicken plus plastic.

If you're buying anything made by Tyson, plastic is a definite improvement.  I swear they make the most disgusting chicken products on the market.

I bought some chicken wings of theirs a month or so ago. I figured what the hell, it's just wings. You deep fry them and coat them in sauce, how can anyone fark something that simple up? Holy shiat was I wrong, those were the most disgusting things I have ever ate. Still have half the bag of them in the freezer.

Chicken McTumors.  after feeding the chickens lots of hormones and goodies to make them grow fast so profits can be expanded along with 'murican waistlines.

Costco > Sams.

But I only have Sams near me. So tomorrow I will go to sams for my first country ribs of the season.

I am thinking making my bbq sauce with an orange base this time.

Anyone have an awesome bbq sauce recipe ?

That's kind of the joke. In the pecking order, it's kind of Costco -->Sam's  -->BJ's

I have a good rub recipe and a (mostly) sugar free bbq sauce recipe.

What kind of smoker do you have?

Rotisserie chicken = a regular chicken which didn't sell before its expiration date. Better to get $4 for it than to toss it into a dumpster.

Just a grill. I do a long soak and a low temp bake before grilling so I think I can still say 'bbq'. Purists may disagree.

Might get a smoker in the future.

Someone gave me a barrel grill and I loved it. Then I got a masterbuilt electric smoker and that thing's amazing. Wound up getting the digital one with the window on craigslist for $50 and kept the other as a backup. I really do like the digital.

If you get one, go masterbuilt not master forge.  Also, I've bought several for my friends off CL. Unused. $50-$75 if you keep an eye out.

Fun fact: chickens do not have nuggets.

Which is fine in my book.  As long as it passes the smell test it's still good.  I don't think anyone thinks they sell them that cheap out of the goodness of their hearts.
