It's almost as tough as waiting for that entire website to load.

I pulled up a second window with Youtube and was able to search for and watch one of the farking videos before I could even SCROLL on that website.

shiat coding is shiat.

CSB: When I was seven or eight, my family had caught a hop from the UK to the US on a tanker plane that was escorting a group of figher jets returning to the States.  There were a couple of kids on board, and the crew invited us each in turn to sit in the central of the three control seats for the refueling system and watch as they lined up, connected, and refueled a jet.  Watching through the open hatchway as a jet approached and linked up was pretty much the coolest thing I'd experienced in my life at that point.

At the end of that video a Helicopter pilot manages to chop his own refueling boom off with his own rotor blades...   Best clip of them all if you ask me

Good old MAC flights.  Those were the finest military brat days for sure!  Tiger cruises were the bomb!

Almost as hard as putting a meaningful amount of text in an article.

MST3K - "Starfighters" (Ep. #612)

A plethora of refueling jokes, plus Bob "Sack of Doorknobs" Dornan in a starring role. One of my fave eps.

The one set to "Satisfaction" was funny.

And the one where the helo chops off its own probe with the main rotor was pretty surprising.

Way back in the day I was Army Aviation (Avionics Tech) and I could just picture cockpit the moments after that happened.  After some cursory profanity there would be a heavy pregnant silence, followed by the long end eloquent FFfarkKKKKK from the PIC.  The crew chief can probably be heard softly sobbing over the intercom.

You are no longer mission capable.
You may go bingo in hostile territory.
You may not have fuel to RTB.
Your bird now has turbines that have likely impact/sudden stop damage.
You main rotor has likely damage and certainly needs to be treated as such.
Your bird will be grounded for a complete overhaul if you do happen to RTB.
Lucy's has some 'splainin to do (and you are Lucy)

//The footage where the Kc-135 family is about to refuel and everything goes white cause the little gear doors open so the twins could fully retract into my body
