Oh yeah, it's horror, and has plenty of mature subject matter, adult language, and graphic depictions of violence.

I'll read it, I can borrow it using Prime, but it will be next month.

Based on the title I would have thought YA romance.

I'll bet it's better than the book I've written.

How many books have you written?

Ambivalence: this is my third novel-length book under my own name.

Contratulations! I have been a wannabe novelist for most of my life. I have some fantastic ideas but can never really get past that. I want to preserve them, but at the same time I don't really enjoy writing. It's weird. But I admire anyone who can stick through it to completion.

Fred Anderson...is that the best pen name you could come up with? Why not John Smith or Mike Johnson?

j/k

Good luck...not much for the horror genre but have just enough left on a kindle gift cert to purchase.

I know! One moment you think you're in this endless abyss devoid of all talent then BOOM, someone accomplishes something noteworthy.

1000 monkeys and 1000 typewriters, given enough time, come up with Macbeth. So much for the title; how does the first act open?

Yah but no one has monkeys, much less typewriters, anymore.

Good point on the typewriters but most do have MS Word and most self-respecting Farkers are carrying around a monkey on their back.

Man.. I love reading farker books... but I don't do horror (my imagination and all around personal issues), but the summery sounded good.. I will let my friends who do read that genre about the book... get you a few more sales...

There's even one that's delighted with Carrie Vaughn's sales for the Kitty Norville series.

Well, if anyone around here writes like a monkey on a typewriter, it would probably be me.

Thanks for all the kinds words, guys.

I thought the intro was very well written. I don't read fiction anymore or I'd totally buy it.

Good for you! Horror isn't my genre but if you benefit from it, I can use my Prime to borrow it and keep it a few days before returning it. Lemme know, most months I don't use it.

Thanks -- that's an actual abandoned house built in 1876 that was across the street from my own. I happened to spot it in the trees one day when we were taking a break on the front porch (we were renovating an old farm house). My wife took that picture...in broad sunny daylight.

No; sultry.

Congrats! I've bought a few of your other books, and I think I have another one downloaded that I haven't read yet. I'll get this one, too.

Sweetie, don't say it probably sucks! You should be so proud of yourself -- writing a novel is so not easy at all. I'm a creative writer, and I stick to short stories -- and I love the horror genre. What's ironic is that I read novels like a camel in the desert goes through water, and I have no earthly idea how to write one!

Please keep up the great work. I don't know you, but I'm thrilled for you!

That was mostly tongue-in-cheek, because I see lots of teasing "your book sucks" posts on these threads; I was trying to pre-empt.

It does beg the question, though: Are there writers who knowingly publish something they think sucks?

I can be snarky, I am on FARK after all. However, I really believe in supporting someone's talent and goals. Especially because I often do not have that talent or skill set, so who the heck am I to insult someone who's trying his/her best?

That's a great question you posed. I certainly can't answer that. I write my short stories for the fun of it, and my family and friends often love them. But I'm not interested in getting them published. Too much work right now. But ... who knows what the future holds.

I wish you luck promoting, trying to find any website to cover/review my horror book was a pain in the ass

Picked up a copy, I'll throw a review up on Amazon when I'm done too since I know how hard that can be.
