If this is a prank, someone is getting expelled.

Did the submitter go to the University of Miami in the early 80s or something?

I didn't really get into the suspicious powder until I was out of my dorm.  Freshmen can drink and stay up til dawn naturally, no stimulants needed.

My team once responded to an unknown substance in the hallway at a hospital.  Some idiot called in a used condom.  No, we did not sample the contents...it went straight to a medical waste incinerator.

An entry team with a hazardous materials team was sent into the dorm to collect samples of the material that were analyzed using special monitoring devices, Goldberg said.

You can say they ran it through a mass spectrometer, article, I'm pretty sure that everyone reading an article about a damned college knows what it means (and that it takes like 5 minutes tops, so it's not like the dorm was shut down all day or anything).

The university's probably annoyed at having to pay for the call-out if it's nothing, but this isn't really any bigger of a deal than any time some idiot pulls a fire alarm and makes everyone else stand outside the building for an hour.  Not like you have to suit up in full class A to sample a powder.
