Show was good for a few seasons

Eventually everyone yelling at each other over the dumbest farking things got a bit boring

Is that a regional station or something?

The show has become inconsistent, but they still manage to produce a few good episodes each season. I'll take two more years.

Cant-deal douchebags yelling at each other over everything while putting themselves in contrived situations, right?  That's what it looks like to me.  It's always shouty in Philadelphia.

The shows first... 6 seasons or so were GREAT.

The last 2 or 3 are just so dreadful, it's painful to watch.

I'll watch it.

Needs more McPoyles and Rickity Cricket.  Last season wasn't very good.  I'm starting to become disinterested.

That's all Larry David's show was, and they called him a genius.

That is a particular style of comedy invented by Jerry Stiller over a thousand years ago.

The show started sucking a long time ago. Like, after DeVito bought himself in. Some of the early eps with him in it were great, but otherwise? Bleh.

Frank Reynold's Little Beauties is still the single funniest half hour of anything that I have ever watched.

They just started airing it in syndication here so they replay 15-18 of the same episodes in their time slot.  Which is to say, it's barely half of the first seasons over and over.  They and the show became unfunny really quick. DeVito saves the show overall, Dennis is a horrible actor.

Are you trying to say that the show's just as good as it used to be?  At one point it was the funniest 22 minutes on television.  It's okay to recognize that they've lost their touch the last few years.

The episode where they convince Dee she is going to be on Conan is about as funny as any episode.

It's definitely more hit and miss then when it started, but when they are on, it's so good. I mean, the show gave us the D.E.N.N.I.S. System. I'm going to keep watching until they end it.

No no no

The first 4 seasons were great. 5 had more good episodes than bad episodes (like the Dennis system, and kitten mittens). And it's been downhill since then.

They've all gone too extreme. Frank is a rich businessman but acts like a moron. He should be the semi-sane anchor of the group.

Charlie used to be every lazy person I know that has a crap job with no ambition. Now he's just weird and dirty, and why those people would hangout with him is beyond me.

Dennis used to be smooth, charming, semi-intelligent and self-absorbed. Now he's biatchy, kind of dumb (the episode where they sell tickets like at Dave and Busters made me want to bash my TV, and it marks things to come)

Mac and Dee haven't changed that much, except they are now extreme charactertures of what they used to be.

Basically the whole gang has gone Homer Simpson, and Peter Griffin.

It's not quite what it was, but it's still funnier than a lot of what passes as "TV-brand comedy."

The Lethal Weapon episode was my favorite this year, for all the wrong reasons ...

Agreed. They've become caricatures of their own characters, to the T. It's not what it was, but it's still some of the best comedy out there when they get their shiat together. I'd rather have bad-ish Sunny than most anything else

This show is dumb. It is not a good show like Firefly or Dead Like Me or Chuck. Those are the best shows ever to air on television. Sunny is not a good show, like those shows. They were only cancelled because everyone is dumb, except me.

I agree the show is hit-or-miss, but as someone who games fairly frequently, "CharDee MacDennis" never fails to kill me.  And I want a Cards Against Humanity card that says "Thunder Gunning the shiat out of your friends".

Always Sunny farking rules, last couple have seasons have actually brought the show back to its original glory. I think a lot of people commenting here are talking out if there ass based on the few weak seasons they had a few years ago.

"Sweet Dee is Dating a Retarded Person" has to be one of the funniest episodes of a sitcom in television history.

"Charlie, that song sounds like it's about somebody breaking into your house and raping you!"

It's what TvTropes refers to as "Flanderization," when one of a character's funny quirks becomes their entire shtick, after Ned Flanders went from a nice, church-going guy next door, to his entire personality being based around his Evangelicalism.

Dennis Reynolds went from being a shallow pick-up artist, to a borderline serial rapist.

I'll stride in here and say the last 2 seasons have been amongst the best the show has ever done.

- squashing their beefs
- the quarantine episode
- mac day w/ sean william scott
- the gang tries to win an award
- buying a timeshare (and invigaron)
- the cereal car accident
- frank's back in business ("get you off")
- the gang dines out

Sunny is getting better with age for my little friend viewing circle. Gimme 5 more seasons please!

/Solidly in all-time 2nd after Seinfeld now
