Thanks to all who have taken pity on me and supplied the link to the archive,  I have it and I'm loving this.  No more necessary at this time.

soosh: they're actually just basic hardware store rasps, I think. repurprosed to work for food.

Yup. I was shocked and amused the first time I saw a fancyass chef on TV break one out for a piece of citrus.

I've never really had a "red" beer that appealed to me, and I don't like fruit beers much, but other than that, there's not a lot I don't like at least a little.  Pilsners and lagers aren't my favorite, but sometimes they have their place.

I thought of you in the ceviche thread the other day... did you know it's fun and easy to make your own lox?

I've been known to turn a nice chinook or two I just pulled out of Lake Superior into gravlax.

I haven't been able to figure out the difference between gravadlax and lox.  Maybe it's the dill/other spices.

Lox is prepared with a brining solution. Gravlax is a Nordic version (raw salmon cured in salt, sugar, dill & juniper berries).

I don't caer what y'all are talking about I cooked a hell of a Garlic-Rosemary shrimp kebab. Next time I use the food processor instead oh mincing garlic by hand.

microplane. same results, 1/5th of the cleanup

I'm stupid and don't know what this means.

Microplane is a fancified name for a lemon zester, Mags.

very different from normal zester. different blade/tine setup, size, and sharpness. Best example to illustrate the difference is hard spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. A normal zester would tear chunks out of these, whereas with the microplane my nutmeg (for example) looks sanded and polished, almost a work of art when half used and the planed portion is as fine as being put through a spice/coffee burr grinder.

See how it is, , I've been up since 5 am and well Yea I'm tired and had a few kinds of beers and well I want be mean or defense but this isn't the place for that.

But.. but.... you said earlier that slurring was essentially a happy goal for the evening.

I was teasing.  And I was glad you had reached your happy goal!

I am somewhere near that, I was using MusicBee lately, my Llibrary was recovered and spread among several drives creating many dupes of which many contain errors/missing data. I am at the point of dumping it all and starting over.  Love Delta Blues
