Is cocaine legal in Canadia?

I like how most of these guys got fired. I don't like how the guy who was caught drunk driving was only suspended for 6 days.

Fired and suspended beats getting arrested and beaten I guess.

None of them got arrested.

If I get caught buying cocaine, or driving drunk, or pointing a gun at some woman and dragging her out of her car, I get arrested. These guys either lost their jobs or had a week of vacation.  That's messed up.

A New Westminster officer drove his car into a rock, sustaining minor damage. It was the officer's sixth motor vehicle accident in six years, four of which were his fault. The officer was sent for driver assessment and training.

I find this one very amusing. New West is a lot of tightly gridded narrows streets, mostly on hills, with pedestrians constantly darting out into numerous crosswalks that don't require a light to cross.

So sending porn with your work email is a worse offense (8 days suspension) than pulling the "I'm a cop" card when pulled over for DUI (6 days suspension) or for acting like an out of control jackass during a traffic stop (no suspension, just a reprimand for pulling your weapon and forcing the "suspect" to the ground just because they didn't produce their driver's license promptly enough for your taste??).  Hmm.

Actually, you have a point. I guess I have become accustomed to police getting such favored treatment being fired seemed like a fair response to their actions. I was wrong to think that.

Go on a paid vacation like the others.

That's because arrest isn't a disciplinary measure under the police services act. The department can't exactly use it as a punishment. It's almost like the criminal justice system and the internal personnel management of a police department are like, two totally different systems or something, and a report on one wouldn't say a whole lot about the other.

Too bad for them they weren't cops in Murica. They would have gotten a nice paid vacation followed by a promotion.

Yeah, I guess if police were actually professionals, and their off-duty behavio(u)r was considered to reflect on their character and therefore fitness for duty...

Buying cocaine is against the law.  The "policy services act" doesn't change that.  The same goes for the other crimes.
