Has any one pointed out to the sifi executives that they already have an unofficial 12 Monkeys series that's in it's 3d season right now?

I'm really liking this season so far. While the first season felt too much like a police procedural at its start, this season went full sci-fi right from the get-go.

I don't see it really working as an ongoing series. One of the best part of the movie was that it provided a closed loop. You can't really do that with a series that has no end date.

I'm sure that Brad Pitt and Bruce Willis would like to travel back in time at this point, but only to get new, younger bodies.

No spoiling. Plus, Syfy seems to only be a few weeks behind this year. So that's better than usual.

Awful movie.

BalugaJoe: Awful movie.

This. A listened to a review about it and he describe the movie as a jack in the box. That's pretty much spot on. The entire movie essentially has no point. The cult of the 12 monkeys has pretty much nothing to do with the anything that is actually going on. There's just one "gotcha" scene at the end that comes out of nowhere and then it's over. The movie is a waste of time.

You really don't know anything about the films of Terry Gilliam, do you?

This.  I loved the movie...but I hate the idea of it as a series.  The only way this would even be feasible is as a prequel.  So what can they really ddo, explore other people living underground going back through time looking for the Army of the Twelve Monkeys?  Rather boring since we know how Cole figured it out and how the story ends.
