That's an impressive streak for any team...4 games in a row with 3 goals.  Damn.

2014-04-06 10:20:40 AM

nogalltogether: My only hope for CL qualification is based on Everton still has two Manchester games this year while Arsenal's are mostly bottom of the table teams.

Good luck with that.  I'm having flashbacks to last year's end of the season for Sounders FC.  It looked similar with bottom teams and no good came of any of it.

2014-04-06 10:21:28 AM

nogalltogether: This is what I expected unfortunately. This year has been the same old arsenal story: play well long enough to get hopes up, then get decimated with injuries and not have the depth the manage them.

It's dreadful lately. Hurts to watch them.

It's weird to see Baines get in someone's face.  Good of him to defend his teammate.

Imagine if Martinez got to manage a budget like the bigger teams get.

Well done Everton, really great result.

2014-04-06 10:24:49 AM
Good game, Everton. Well played and well coached and well executed.

2014-04-06 10:25:47 AM
Goal difference just moved significantly in Everton's favour as well I s'pose.

I elected not to watch most of today's game, as it has been so bad.

i can only imagine the success.  For a point of reference, I looked to Toronto FC this year, spending $100M for upgrades, and suddenly they are fiercely competitive.

They're really fun to watch as well.  Defoe didn't even play yesterday and they looked great.  I love being able to see Michael Bradely (who scored a great goal yesterday) play week in and week out.

And as my brother just said, "at least the Puma gear is ugly so I won't be tempted to waste any more money on Arsenal stuff."

Good game, Everton.

Agger out and Sakho in.  That makes me uneasy.

SomebodyElsesShoes: ADubs86: Martinez and Rodgers are going to do some work in the league next season.

I was very surprised when Liverpool passed on Martinez for Rodgers a few years ago (especially since Whelan was backing him), and I even thought it may have been a mistake.  But it's obviously worked out so far for Liverpool.  And for Everton, so far so good.

I thought they offered the job to Martinez and he said thanks, but no thanks

harleyquinnical: Stimied in a Rut: I think it's totally worth it. You can watch the matches live or whenever you want.  The quality is incredible, you can watch multiple matches at a time if you want, and you can get the games on your phone with their app which works great.  I'm a big DC fan who no longer lives in the area so I got it to watch their matches, but I watch so many more games now that I can watch them anywhere.  It's a great deal too as when you resubscribe you get 20% off each year so I got the entire season for like $50 or $55 bucks.

Wow...that sounds like a pretty good deal.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna have to pick that up.

Sadly, the Crew games are blacked out for those of us here in Columbus because of the stupid deal they made with Time Warner

I banked on you Liverpool. Don't let me down.

this is actually not a bad switch, sakho is stronger and better in the air.

/misses a clearance as a type...

Columbus is the closest thing to a home team I have (5-6 hours away). I used to be able to catch them on one of the local Fox Sports Ohio channels, but yeah, that deal screwed that up as well.

Sorry to hear that bit of news.  Stupid cable companies.

More along the lines of "stupid Crew."  They signed an exclusive deal with them and that even means if you have the "season pass" package you are hosed.  Only MLS club that has done it.

Their response to complaints "Time Warner would be happy to have your business"

our 3rd kit. we were wearing it for the warmup before switching to the away. not sure why.

And this is why I insured this match. Too sloppy early on

the 2nd or 3rd? having both, i can say the 2nd really isn't that bad.

Considering the breakaways West Ham has had, I'm surprised they haven't scored a goal.  The back lines of both teams are making it Hell for the offenses.  If there is a goal scored, I expect it to come from a strike outside the box.

The one they are wearing.

Sako has the best hair, by the way.

Avoidable and accidental.

Gerrard almost always goes right.  You'd think the keepers would go that way more often than not
