Sachbash: Looks like that flick from dzeko fooled even the linesman

Thing is, he's even offside for the original pass.

2014-04-05 08:34:38 AM
Way offside. Tough break for Saints.

2014-04-05 08:35:08 AM
Damn again. Poor Southampton.

Shaw played him on on the pass into Dzeko.

And Dzeko makes this debate meaningless.

Heads down going into the changing room. Heads up, Saints. Heads high.

2014-04-05 08:36:52 AM

Norfolking Chance: ADubs86: RICKIE LAMBERT!!!!
He's on the plane to Brazil.

Lambert will be lucky to be in the team as the press hive mind don't like players from smaller clubs

They do tend to flock, don't they? On the plus side, it's easy to imagine them all suddenly flocking over to the "English players from smaller clubs are our best shot" position.

Well if we could just call it a game here my banker would greatly appreciate it. NO MORE GOALS!

Not really. A blown call leading to a goal can change the entire dynamic. Especially that late in the half,

18 year old striker James Wilson is on the bench for MUFC :-)

He shall live on that bench now. Moyes needs someone to warm it after he let Zaha go.

What do you guys think the over/under is on how many Southampton players leave this summer when the big teams come raid their roster? 4.5?

Flock is a kind word, sheep is closer to the truth. All it takes is one journalist to have an original idea and as long as its not too complicated the rest follow. To give a great example the crap about Becham. He has never been Engalnd quality since he left Real but every time England play he had been championed by the press, so much so that every England manager had him in the squad just to get the muppets of their back.

Journalists in Britain have less technical knowlege of the game than Brian Clough yet write like they have a clue.

Shaw gone, Lallana probably gone, Rodriguez probably gone depending on his injury. I'll take the under.

2014-04-05 09:17:18 AM
Hodgson in the crowd. He must be lamenting Rodriguez's injury.

2014-04-05 09:21:47 AM

SmackLT: Actually, setting today's games aside for the moment, I have a question for everybody while we're waiting for the games to begin: as the Premier League season winds down, what is your biggest fear about your club? Is it falling out of CL contention? Relegation? Is it your coaching situation or your player situation? What makes you gnaw your fingernails down to the bone?

that david moyes gets fired.

Oh and 70 minutes in its England-8 Montenegro-0

Its real men women against boys girls stuff

ya maybe 3.5 would be a bit more realistic, but even after the three you named there's still several players who will be attracting interest: schneiderlin, chambers, clyne, wanyama, lovren, etc.

I've heard of interest in Lovren.

I chose "flock" because when one bird turns, they all turn. And also because the average sports writer has a brain the size of a walnut.

Yaya loosing it. Would have paid so much money to have seen him deck Nasir there

2014-04-05 09:53:54 AM
None of this really matters. I said before Christmas that United wouldn't finish in the top four, and I decided somewhere along the way that I only want United to qualify for the Europa League if Moyes isn't going to be manager next season. So these games are all a bit meaningless.

Crap. Missed getting in my picks by 2 minutes

Whether by choice or necessity, it looks like Utd are resting almost everybody for Bayern.

2014-04-05 10:13:01 AM

Langston: LucklessWonder: The ever looming spectre of bankruptcy, and the fear that they will just miss the play offs again and spend another season being MIGHTY in League Two.

Weren't they leading League Two for a while this season?

Very very briefly at the start of the year.

I just tuned into the Neufchatel-MU match. Ashley Young got legitimately hurt? How?

You're not going to believe this. He was brought down shoulder-to-shoulder racing a defender to the ball, jumped right back up and continued the chase without any flailing or appealing. And somewhere in all that his thumb either got jammed or stepped on, and he needs to get it fixed up.

Fellaini's looking for a red card. That's another forearm to the face.

2014-04-05 10:26:58 AM
Has Mata even had a touch yet?

And is Fellaini going to get himself sent off today?

Setanta's as confused as I am.

Bizzarely, I'd almost prefer that explanation. The alternative is that Fellaini really is that stupid.

He's got a lot of previous from his Everton days, too.

United has the best away record? Really?

/Sits over there...

Neufchatel's 'keeper almost made a hilariously bad blunder. But this being United, the ball just went to the 'keeper's head and away.

2014-04-05 10:38:44 AM
Mata makes it 1-0.

2014-04-05 10:39:00 AM
Nice goal by Mata.

I checked.  They do!

You can't hit it any better than that.
