If there's no alcohol, it's not a bar.

A cafe, a restaurant, a lemonade stand, a soda fountain; there's literally 100s of possible ways to describe it. But sans alcohol "bar" is not one of them.

FTFA "Say you go out three nights a week, if you replace that with one night at a chilled out, nice place, where you don't have to think about spending money on alcohol, you don't have to think about how you're getting home ... It's just a nice alternative," she said.

And this is why it will never work, they won't be able to afford to keep the lights on

Well, the milk at Korova had other types of drugs in it instead of alcohol.

A soon ot be failed fad.  Even in the article they mention only going once a week when they are used to going to a bar 3 to 4 nights a week.

Charging less then a bar and getting 1/3rd of the traffic is not going to keep their doors open.

Zuzax: shtychkn: Oldiron_79: Boo_Guy: Has anyone said this isn't a bar yet?

Because if they did I'd have to agree with them.

That was taken care of in the boobies

I would like to see these said boobies.

Boobies are probably the only thing that could make an alcohol-free bar work.

No! Dry strip clubs are more depressing than the real thing

It's simple to make a dry bar work, all one needs to do is substitute the alcohol for Ecstasy since they serve the exact same purpose. That day will come but probably not for another decade.

Came here to say this myself.
