Idiocracy is coming, and people who eat pizza are proof of the process.

What next, a noid shaped like a ferris wheel that plays the theme from "Bride of Chucky"?

What should we be eating, o wise and refined one?

Oh, I don't know, maybe something that you don't just grab with your hands and stuff in your mouth indistinguishable from feeding behavior of simians 800K farking years ago.

But apples are delicious.

stappawho: The Kirkland Cheese Pizzas at Costco are damn good for frozen pizza.  Top them with whatever you want.

However, they are not good reheated so make sure you finish it off round one.

I had one for the first time a few weeks ago and was less than thrilled. Frankly I think I've been spoiled by living in Chicago and New York for the last quarter century, as proud as I am of my Kirkland roots. (And this by no means lessens my love of Costco, where I buy everything from groceries to my TV to my laptop to my kickass Hawaiian shirt from the Maui Costco.)

Cut up some mushrooms, onions, olives and whatever and add it to a Tombstone with a little more cheese. Bake it till the crust is done, then broil it till the top is done.

Don't feed him. He's the same guy who tried to out-Luddite Quantum Apostrophe, for Pete's sake.

I have him tagged as "Moron (music so far)" - I am just seeing if I should add food to the list.

He's the one who repeatedly posts that cherry-picked graph of average global temperatures with the start and endpoints adjusted so it shows no average increase.  Nevermind the fact that if you pick almost literally any other start or endpoints from the available data you get an upward trend, to say nothing of the data as a whole.

He's a disingenuous troll.  Ignore him.

I buy this one, then jazz it up with artichokes, blue cheese and more mozz. It's awesome.

I get the Ultra Thin Crust Pepperoni. You can't beat it for $5. They don't skimp on the toppings. It just tends to make a little mess in my oven.

Why?  You should invest in a pizza stone.  Seriously, get the chix bacon ranch and add artichokes and blue cheese.  Unless blue cheese isn't your bag.

Yeah, so far it's been posts about things the list should have included, not things the list shouldn't have, save for Celeste pizzas (ew), a few "all frozen pizza sucks"/"INCREASE POST COUNT HERP DERP" comments, and one kneejerk "Whole Foods/Trader Joe's must die because hipsters" comment.  All in all a pretty productive thread given how Fark normally works.

That it's not on the list? If that's what you mean, I'll agree with you. Tombstone? Get the fark out of here. Freschetta and DiGiorno figured out how to make nice fluffy, tasty dough. I would have a hard time enjoying any other frozen pizza after having those two..

But I will admit...once in a while...my inner 8 year old demands....and gets...a cheapo totino's hamburger.  My tastebuds are happy for abut 3 minutes...and my stomach is pissed for 3 hours.

My inner 8-year old demanded Tombstone classic a couple times lately. Couldn't find Canadian bacon, so pepperoni had to do.

I was told last week that it takes two hours to thaw out the premade pizza shells at Pizza Hut.  I was all like, "Y'all don't mix your own dough?" And they looked at me like I was crazy.

Add Pizza Hut to the list of frozen pizzas.

Anyone remember the frozen pizza back in the 80's that was deep dish and it came in an aluminum foil pan with holes on the bottom. I seem to keep thinking the box was mostly green and the name started with a P like Poppalo's or something?

Anyone???

They do have a hand-tossed pizza, which is the only edible pizza from that place. Franchise pizza sucks in general.

lostcat: If I'm going to eat a frozen pizza, it's because I want something that isn't trying to resemble a real pizza. I want something extra crappy, but delicious, like a Totino's Party Pizza with that weird sausage dust:

[www.totallytarget.com image 282x330]

Totino's is a tasty, pizza-like food.  Bought a Tony's pizza by mistake once.  The boxes are similar, but Tony's is much worse.

Wal-Mart's fresh-made pizza, by their deli, is pretty good.  It's not frozen, just refrigerated.  A shiat-ton of toppings, good amount of cheese.

i can testify to the goodness of Trader Joes 4-Cheese Pizza.

I, too loathe frozen pizzas.  But one day the wife showed up with that and said "we tasted this at the store and it was good."  (TJ's does always have a taste of something available.)  So I cooked it up for the boy and had a slice to see what was so good.  And it was indeed amazingly good... for a frozen pizza.  Far better than I thought possible.

But it still tastes like a frozen pizza.

Be warned, though, one doesn't just walk into Trader Joes and buy a decent frozen pizza.  It has to be that specific pizza, the one pictured.

Frozen pizza is kinda a rip-off; you don't really get that much food for your money: mostly bread, a bit of sauce and a handful of other ingredients.

I can't recommend. They even make you put the cookies on yourself.

It may be accetable to eat pizza slizes when you're not at home.

But when you're at home and have access to an oven, you also have access to a knife and fork. Don't eat your pizza with your hands like farking Elvis Presley (who couldn't eat any food that wasn't soulfood, due to being kinda a looser).

As a lazy alcoholic that lives in an urban environment -- where every corner market has a wide array of frozen pizza to take the edge off at 3 am -- I was sure Amy's would run away with this. My local store hasn't had 4-cheese in like a year, but they always have Margherita, and that's the best frozen I can ever find.

I was shocked that TJ's took the prize. Every single one of their frozen pizzas that I've ever tried has been a cheeseless dry abortion. But I completely gave on them like 4 years ago, so maybe I need to try again.

Sheesh.

Although... csb time!

My youngest kid loves the Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  He asked me if I could buy some pizza gyoza, which apparently are the Turtles' favorite food.

Obviously, nobody sells a food abomination like that... so I made some.

They were more like Jiaozi, because I didn't think the thin gyoza wrappers would hold up to the filling (pizza sauce, mozzarella, diced pepperoni).

They were pretty good, actually.

So if I ever find those... *things*... in the local grocery, I might try them,

Mrs. bughunter reminds me to add that for best tasting results, never cook a frozen pizza directly on the rack.

Use a pizza stone.

Scrotastic Method: I was shocked that TJ's took the prize. Every single one of their frozen pizzas that I've ever tried has been a cheeseless dry abortion. But I completely gave on them like 4 years ago, so maybe I need to try again.

Yep.  Agreed.  Don't buy anything but the Quattro Formaggio pizza.  The rest are disappointments.
