Maybe that happened, but right now, that guy doesn't have much credibility with anyone.

Especially if he's using this to sell us on a moneymaking opportunity.

So is he charging them with battery? Like most people in Phillies games throw? Eh? Eh? Aw, never mind.

Yep.  When you go to jail for theft and fraud it's hard to take anything you say seriously.

The guy has been lying to everyone about everything for the last 10-15 years, not to mention sexual assault allegations. If this did actually happen, he deserves it.

And when you get away with it you get a job at the Federal Reserve.

JD, is that you?  You're not still sore about that "D" cell, I hope.

Wonderful.  Some people do get what they deserve.  I hope he gets beaten to death.

I guess they really hit the nail on the head at that prison.

Two things never happened after the lawsuit was filed.  Dykstra never walked again, and nobody ever believed him again.

It's still embedded two inches into my skull and formed a cyst around itself so large that people think it's a third eye.

Dykstra is a twat.

Weren't the Phillies actually pretty good when Dykstra played for them? Dang, I suppose I'll have to look that up. Not that we'd let a small thing like that get in the way of a headline anyway, right?

In any case, if this had happened and they had done it right, we wouldn't be hearing about it from Lenny.

One would like to think a doctor looked at him and there would be a report of it,

Before the mid-2000s run, the Phillies had one winning season in about 15 years - 1993.

Yep. I did go ahead and look it up. Only one winning season while he was there, and that was the year of the "Mitch Williams" World Series. I had forgotten how much they sucked in the years before and after that. So I retract my headline snark, submittereveryouare.

Lenny has (or rather HAD) a million dollar body with a nickle brain. I wouldn't believe this guy if he said fire sirens are loud.

They beat Atlanta in the championship series in '93, and Atlanta had 104 wins that season.

During the last game of that series my band was playing a gig in Hilton Head.  There was a big group of Phillies fans at the bar and they were loud.  We had a PA system, so we were louder.

But it didn't help, Braves lost.

If you mean a million dollars in 'roids, sure.

While I have no doubts the douchenozzles in the LA County Sheriff's Dept. are fully capable of doing such things, the fact that Dykstra claims this incident occurred 2 years ago, and is only now complaining about it (right on the heels of federal investigations of the LACSD being made public) makes me dubious of his veracity.

I remember some reporter ask one of his former teammates what type of person he was and the guy said something along the lines of this "Lenny is a pretty good guy, except for when he is trying to rope you into some hair brained get rich quick money scheme, which was most of the time."

Okay... on the one hand, he's a liar and a thief, which is why he's in jail in the first place.

On the other hand, he's in L.A. County, so his allegations are totally plausible. :-(

What do?

Veracity Dubious sounds like a band name.

The 2005-2011 Phillies were a great time, but nothing will ever beat the watching the 93 Phillies when I was an 8-year-old.
