(Vimeo)   If you ever wanted to get away from it all and travel around the world on a container ship, here's your chance. You might even see your mom in some port of call   (player.vimeo.com) divider line 15

What really sucks id that freighter lines have jacked up their passenger rates as people "discovered" it as an alternate form of transport.

Thanks, Subby! That was cool. Almost hypnotic. Kinda liked the song as well.

You might also want to think twice if you are a woman traveling alone.  Men can do that sort of thing.  Women, not so much.  Because of the men.

I wouldn't mind operating /MM.  Take the QRP rig, a battery, a solar panel, and some wire, and just pound brass on ship.

/Most people won't know WTF I'm talking about.

Ah, the glorious vista associated with the restocking of dollar stores, flatscreen TVs and robbable Nikes made by children.

"I wouldn't mind operating my ham radios on board a ship.  I would take my low-powered ham radio transceiver, a battery to power it, and a solar panel to recharge the battery, some wire to string up an antenna, and I'd use Morse code while I was on board the ship".

Cool like many of time lapse videos are, but devoid of context. I wouldn't mind knowing what ports the ship is visiting or if someone is running a QRP rig on board.
