ransack.: That truck weighs a lot more than 2 tons. My Silverado 1500 weighs 5400 lbs. Unless they meant the cargo capacity .

A dump truck is referred to by capacity, either in tons or cubic yards. Small trucks are in yards, BIG trucks are in tons.

Thing is, that's not a "two ton dump", that's a 2 *cubic yard* dump. 6' wide, 8' long, 1-1.5' deep.

Pedant, etc.

NIXON YOU DOLT!!!!!: MaudlinMutantMollusk: Ambivalence: On today's episode of Ice Road Truckers...

If they'd done something like this maybe that dumbass show would have been worth watching

They featured semi submersible trucks on more than one occasion.

I don't think I ever saw one episode where a truck actually involved in the show was ever in the slightest peril. A few things happened to other trucks, but none on video

/I refer to that show and its ilk as "manufactured drama shows": big build up to nothing
//Yeah... I watch car races for the wrecks, too

Yes they meant the capacity. Your truck is a 1/2 ton.

It's still the cutest li'l dumptruck ever. It's a modified pickup.

That's usually what people say but not what they mean. That truck should have a max gross of 7-8 tons but it's hard to tell without truck nuts for scale.
