Benevolent Misanthrope: In the second paragraph of his introduction, Abbott cites Charles Murray, a conservative social scientist and fellow at the American Enterprise Institute.Um... yeah. And who else would you expect a GOP candidate to cite? What other social "scientists" would a GOP candidate even know about?
spongeboob: "Family background has the most decisive effect on student achievement, contributing to a large performance gap between children from economically disadvantaged families and those from middle class homes,"So then you agree we should be doing more to make up the difference for lower socioeconomc families, right?
MaudlinMutantMollusk: I love how these f*cking imbeciles will disregard the findings of hundreds of scientists to focus on the one dumb SOB who managed to get a degree but has an opposing opinion
Lord_Baull: Women are clearly inferior. If they weren't, why didn't God make them out of dirt like he did man?
Arachnophobe: Personally, I prefer the woman-superior position, but I can understand how that might not be everyone's cup of tea.
Triple Oak: Davis may not have a good chance this year...
Sin_City_Superhero: women are inferior to menWell he's not wrong.
RevLovejoy: I really thought that by 2014 we would not only have jet packs, but shiat like this would only be heard on lazily written comedy shows.Yet here we are.
skozlaw: Triple Oak: Davis may not have a good chance this year...The way Abbott's going I wouldn't say that just yet. Remember, after she stumbled right out of the gate it was his diarrhea of the mouth that brought her back into it. If he didn't insist on proving his whacked-out bigotry at every possible turn and could have just stuck to some neutral talking points he'd probably have this wrapped up already, but since he can't zip his lips he's not only picked her up on the track, he's carried her halfway down it.
IlGreven: ...I guess they either want to hand Wendy Davis the governor's chair, or think that Texas is so down-homey Murcan that there's no chance she'd win. If the latter, I'm gonna guess they're in for a huge surprise in November.
Men have consistently represented about 43% of enrollments and earned 43% of bachelor's degrees since 2000, says the report by the American Council on Education, a higher-education organization.
mossymoss: Must have gone to Harvard..[www.thenation.com image 615x395]
UncomfortableSilence: spongeboob: "Family background has the most decisive effect on student achievement, contributing to a large performance gap between children from economically disadvantaged families and those from middle class homes,"So then you agree we should be doing more to make up the difference for lower socioeconomc families, right?Don't be ridiculous. What we need to do is ensure that divorce is more difficult for women so that they stay in the family unit. We should end support systems and equality in the workforce to encourage them to stay home with their kids. We should abolish abortion so that more women have "families." Oh, and don't let the gays get married or adopt because it subverts the traditional family unit.
Huggermugger: Don't most of these jerks worship Ayn Rand?/who was a woman//not an attractive one, though.
Cheron: Abbott sited a paper that measured the amount of sand a skull from various races and both genders could hold. Abbott "...the white male skull could hold more sand and thus has a larger superior brain. We should invest in our strengths."
