Only for their self-esteem.

According to YouTube comments the guy is speaking Turkish, not Russian. Then again I'm unable to tell the difference between Crimean Tartar and Turkish.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crimean_Tatars
There remains a large diaspora of Crimean Tatars in Turkey, Uzbekistan, Romania, Bulgaria, Western Europe, the Middle East and North America. Crimean Tatars speak any combination of Crimean Tatar, Russian, Ukrainian or Turkish, depending on locale.

I did laugh when I read that.

But I guess you can mess up their "slime coat" which makes me not want to eat fish anymore.

Not really.  Pet stores will say that to keep kids from sticking their hands in every farking tank in the shop, which will spread icthy...icthi.,fish disease.  I worked at a tropical fish wholesale joint way back when and an idiot friend of a friend stuck his hand in just about every single tank and made thousands of fish ill.

/I had the biatchinest collection of bettas.

It's not necessarily good for them, but it's not all bad.  More a matter of degree.  Most fish secrete a 'slime' as it's main defense against disease, infection and injury.  It's a type of protein that mixes with the water around them.  So slight handling such as in the video isn't harmful, as the fish hasn't been removed from the water and the entire slime coat hasn't been removed.  Think of it sort of like paint on a plate, if you slide your finger through it, the rest will just move into the empty space.  In a very general way, the same thing happens on a fish.

But wiping a fish entirely dry would be very stressful and bad for it.

[yes, I did have lots and lots of fish as a kid, why do you ask?]  :)

Same here.. but had them jump well over a foot out of the tank to get the pellets. Buddy tried it and refused to listen about just holding the tip of the pellet; got bit a little and scared the hell out of him. (no it didn't 'hurt' but would shock you if you were expecting the fish to be soft)
Couple years later, drunk as hell, fell out of a chair on the floor, I caught a vid of him telling another guy about the things, "Hold your hand up there... It'll bite your farkin` fingers off!"

Yeah, that's not a goldfish, that's an African Cichlid.

Looks like either  Amphilophus labiatus (Red Devil) or Amphilophus citrinellus (Midas Cichlid) - big head bump is the giveaway that it's a cichlid and not a carp.

I trained my Oscar to jump from the tank to take food from my hand. Anytime I came in the room, I was greeted with a leaping fish right beside the door.

Scared the bejeebus out of my room-mates whenever they came in the room. It was my guard fish.
