The Stealth Hippopotamus: Tarzan VS Predator works.

Yea, I'm not seeing anything wrong with that one. Makes perfect sense. Hell Predator 2 established that they've been hunting earth for hundreds of years, so a Predator taking on Tarzan isn't weird at all (at least in the comic book sense).

The author used the word "Embiggened". I am okay with this.

I wonder if the Jerry Lewis thing is related to the 1970's animation "Globetrotter Effect", wherein every cartoon character ever met the Harlem Globetrotters.

2014-04-01 07:56:48 PM
thank God they didn't add Superman/Don Rickles crossover in the pages of Jimmy Olsen. (And drawn by Jack Kirby!)

What!?  No mention of that time I hung out with Miley Cyrus?  No mention of that?  The article fails.  One more reason to destroy the tri-state area.

Nah, DC published a Martin and Lewis, then just a solo Jerry Lewis comic for the better part of 20 years.

It was only natural they cross over their superheroes every now and then.

The Superman Jerry Lewis issue was pretty funny as I remember it.  (the book was generally funnier than Jerry Lewis ever was)

Jerry dumps water or something on Clark Kent so he has to put on Jerry's spare clothes while his dry... bulging muscles stretching the fabric everywhere "Wow, Mr. Kent, you must be some kind of fantastic athlete!"  "No, Actually I'm just a mild-mannered reporter"

Godzilla vs Charles Barkley. Gawd, that's awesome.
This is it, folks. Western Civilization has peaked - it's all downhill from here.

Some ideas I rejected because they've already been done:

Archie versus ZomWIEs
Barrack Taft as a Jungle Hero
Scott Thompson's gay dad in a Voyage to the Centre of the Earth
Radioactive Man
through the various styles of super hero comics from the 1940s to the 1990s

Yup. Been there, bought that.

Scott Thompson is planning a second volume.

Just Google them! THEY IS REAL!

Couch gags don't count, although that was well-spotted and a topical Simpsons reference on a difficult topic so I must approve.

Has to be a full episode though. Also, we have to get to see who is more of a real cave man:  Fred or Homer. Who is more of a perfect Mother, Housewife, Lover and inexplicably hot Toon chick, Wilma, Betty or Marge? And what kind of fun can the Simpsons brats have with Bam-Bam and Pebbles and Dino?

Did you know that Elizabeth Taylor voiced Maggie when she spoke her first word and that she was also Wilma's Mother in her last theatrical role?

And what happens if a baby girl with a bone in her hair meets Sideshow Mel? Is it love at first sight? Is it madnesssss?

I have the full Simpson / Futurama crossover comics, as well as a number of other odd things. If you are not a fan of the comic book you have missed half of the Simpsons' best episodes and a lot of Simpson one-offs and limited series based on various characters including some back story you'll never see on TV.

The comics, in fact, might be siphoning enough talent and great stories off from the TV show to explain why some nitpickers say the show isn't as good as it used to be. But it certainly looks good on paper. Still kicks ass every which way.

Yeah, that sucked. Bendis is losing it, and the teen X-Men aren't interesting, at ALL.

I always wondered why, as the show devolved into "homer and marge on verge of divorce for 3rd time this season" why they didn't start stealing plots from the comics. They always seemed on the ball.

Let us not forget the ultimate throwdown at Foley's (now Macy's) department store!

"Wow, Peter, that's one sharp lookin' suit!"  "Yes, Mary Jane, Foley's has the best suits at the greatest prices!"
