This seals it. It's in the bag.

HOW DOES IT FEEL TO ALWAYS BE SECOND BEST, BOSTON?!

If the Yanks meet Boston in the playoffs, I'll bet they *crush* them the first three games and don't look back...

Oh, another staged event with no consequences -- sort of like Dancing With the Stars, huh?

Can you believe it?

I knew this thread was coming.

I predict in game five that Tony Clark will hit a deep ball to right that will not bonce out and be ruled a ground rule double, thus allowing Rubin Sierra to score the winning run and the Yanks to win the ALCS.

BoSox have taken three of the last ten World Series. Yankees have...one. Hell, the Giants have won two in the same time frame.

Whatever.

They're making up for all the back pay Gen Washington still owes them.

To be fair, that's only enough money for some 6 or 7 thousand people to live comfortably.  Barely a living wage for guys playing a kid's game.

I don't know what fantasy world you live in, but the last time the Sox won, WWI hadn't quite ended yet.

Playoffs? With that geriatric infield, the Yankees will struggle to crush solid foods.

...buuut, if BAWWWSTON got bounced in the ALDS by a lineup that includes Kelly Johnson, Brian Roberts or Alfonso Soriano I would never stop laughing.

sweet baby Jesus, please let this happen.

Dumb Yankies. With that kind of budget they could invade Belgium.

I'm not saying you'd want to, but you could.

Beats playing for the Yankees.

It's like real life! only it's a stupid game instead!

Baseball needs salary parity. We have enough rich people mowing down poor people in the real world...

In 10 years, many players will get that alone for every pitch thrown, even if they are not a pitcher.

Sports are amazing.

It can take the most red-blooded, red-state american-capitalism flag-waver, and turn him into a raving socialist if his team cant spend the same as a rival team.

But isn't money freedom of speech??

You can spend unlimited money to win votes...so
You can spend unlimited money to win games

No one gets hurt, right?
No one is punished or left out because of it.
No one has an unfair advantage

It's all the same...isn't it???

Te funny thing about this is that the Astros are in the process of blowing the Yankees out right now. I know one game means absolutely nothing but I find it hilarious.

I thought it was the Dodgers who are trying to buy the World Series this year.

Oh I see.  I just commented on a 2004 article.  How amusing, Fark.  Very droll.
