Last night I dreamed I died and that my life had
been rearranged into some kind of theme park.
And all my friends were walking up and down the boardwalk.
And my dead grandmother was selling
cotton candy out of a little shack.
And there was this big ferris wheel
about half a mile out in the ocean,
half in and half out of water.
And all my old boyfriends were on it.
With their new girlfriends.
And the boys were waving and shouting
and the girls were saying Eeek.

Then they disappeared under the surface of the water
and when they came up again they were laughing
and gasping for breath.

I first fell in love on a ferris wheel
in the brisk cool breeze,
A cinematic night that felt so surreal
a lover's flying trapeze.
And when we fell, we fell forever
entwined with each other,
Onto the sandy beach whispering

1. It was kinda small.
2. They utterly promise that they've already cleaned it up.
3. It happens so often it is no longer news.
4. All them sexy oil advertising dollars might go away if anyone brings that up.

Because it's a relatively tiny oil spill when compared to many that happen every year. There's an even bigger oil spill in the Houston ship channel that actually shut down the busiest port in the nation for several days. I bet you haven't heard very much about it either.

Honestly, 100 barrels is not worth getting outraged over. I'm saving mine for when Keystone (it will most likely get approved, even under Taft - depressing, I know) starts popping holes like a sieve.
