No, I think it was about as surprising as Anderson Cooper coming out.

I predict in 10 years, Reagan will be a God, striding the Earth like a colossus, devouring Libtards left and right!

Always hated that guy. When he was Governor of CA he and his fat pig bulldog Ed Meese were responsible for "Bloody Thursday" at Berkeley. Go read about it if you don't know what it is:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/People%27s_Park#May_15.2C_1969:_.22Bloo dy _Thursday.22

When he was President he used to make fun of gays and those with AIDS. F*ck him.

I guess the news about Reagan's death finally trickled down to Fark.

Well, that's just kind of icky, but whatever.  At least you'll know he's AIDS-free.

The funny thing is, he'd be an outcast in the modern-day GOP.

My stepfather had Alzheimer's and looking back at some decisions he made while still appearing healthy, I have little doubt his mental capacity was diminished long before the obvious signs.  Not doubt the same for most, if not all, Alzheimer's victims.

First we traveled back to April 1, 2004, and now we've moved forward to June 2004?  I think the flux capacitor is broken.

Nah; it's just that the time circuits haven't been optimized for targeted travel. Right now we're just bouncing around the space-time continuum without precise landing coordinates.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the Malaysian airliner flew back to 2004.

*martyred sigh*  I figured out the prank theme pretty quickly earlier today. It's cute, no big deal. I hopped onto a message board thread (other site) about classic April Fools pranks. Read a few articles on the subject.

... And my first thought on seeing this thread was: "Wait, he was still alive?" before I re-clued in.

You are not accounting for historical revisionism.  It's already taken hold to make them think Lincoln and Teddy would have been at home in today's wharrgarbl and derp crowd.

So true. My mom has just recently been diagnosed. Looking back, the crazy phone calls and kids birthday cards arriving months early make sense. It's not just "Nana's been hitting the box of wine." Now she talks to invisible people in empty bedrooms.

What's the Hero tag for, the Alzheimer's plaques?

No, he won't. They'll just conceive of a Reagan that agrees with whatever bullsh*t they're dishing out at the time. Like they do with Jesus.

No, they'll continue to mythologize the man; they'll just start to mythologize his politics too.

Regan was a great actor, he convinced all the fancy lads in the red states that he had their best interest at hand, all the while he was in the pockets of the rich. The man has done more lasting damage to this country then 9/11 and every school shooting combine, yet he's praised like he was the reincarnation of Jesus.

Well, who else have they got? Bush the elder? Bush the younger? They're sure as hell not going to invoke Eisenhower. . . .

I was at Bonnaroo when this was all over the TV 24-7, so I missed it.

But someone posted a handmade sign in a mud puddle that read "Ronald Reagan Memorial Swamp."

I thought it was funny.
