I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often, quite frankly. It seems like cops always leave the keys in the car and the engine running. I guess it's to save the wear of starting the engine so many times, and also so they can respond quickly if something comes up, but man, I see the cops leaving a cruiser running while they're inside the gas station buying a donut all the damn time.

No kidding, they seem quite careless with their cars. It's almost like some kind of video game.
