You know, it is theorized that the Zodiac Killer committed at least one murder in Riverside.  they never caught him -- or HER.

*drag on cigarette*

thought you had it all figured out, didn't you?  thought the trail had gone cold.  we'd all forgotten.  it was almost the perfect crime.  but the'es one little detail you didn't count on.  ME.

So I'm in Charleston, SC, but mom lives in Palm Springs.  I'm gonna send her in my place.  I know how you California Farkers roll, so the answer is NO, I don't want another little brother or sister.  Wrap that thing up ferchrissakes.  Be gentle too, she is 74.  No freaks.

Fark in the IE? You should have it in Yucaipa instead at Rosie's

FYI The series was written to be set in Riverside but ABQ offered better tax breaks so the entire production was moved and the story rewritten.

The Yard House is a most excellent establishment with tons of alcohol.

This might be the first time I actually attend a Fark Party, though I doubt I'll be drinking. It's not good for lumbosacral arthritis as one gets careless, makes over-exaggerated movements, and it causes more problems over time.

/will likely have plenty of wax and a vape pen, though!

300mbit down 60mbit up cable.

Riverside was ranked most intelligent city in the world for 2013.

You're thinking of Jurupa/Rubidoux.

Pretty soon there will be a Fark party in every zip code in Southern California.  Will be going for sure.  Fortunately my parents will have gone home by then.  I don't think I've ever been to the Inland Empire other than driving through it.

Why all of a sudden is that ditty, "Down by the riverside" now stuck in my head?

Hope you all have tremendous fun. I'm in NJ. Kinda too far away.

Every ZIP code? If it were 90406, we'd all have to fit inside a PO box.

Some areas are nice, some areas suck.

Next Riverside party that gets planned should happen in downtown, though. You've got everything around. Porno shops, Riverside Fox Plaza, Sushi, bars, pool tables, tons of food, a restaurant inside an old bank (I ate in the vault, once,) and a bunch of other stuff.

Not on the weekends, no longer. That kinda stopped a couple years ago. We've got stuff open till and past midnight. Riverside's growing pretty damned fast.

Seriously.  He even made heavy metal topiaries!  Plus, we could pub crawl afterwards to the Salted Pig, the Mission Inn, Proabition, or the zombie falconer...

Or for those so inclined, we can stumble over to my place for some vaporizable stuff!

/you'll probably want your med card, I don't risk mine by giving to unlicensed.

Interesting. Never made it to a Chicago Fark party in the 10 years I lived there. Now I'm in Corona.

Another fun Riverside fact: one theory abou Kurt Colbain's death was that Courtney Love allegedly hired a guy from Riverside to kill him.

Also, the Grand Premiere screening of "Gone with the Wind" in downtown Riverside. When I was a kid in the 80's, it was operating as an adult theater. Then as a teen in the 90's, they would screen Indie Films, where I first saw "Clerks".

It's also the first place I ever had a gun pulled on me.

Ah, Riverside.

It sort of seems like Lake Alice would be a great place just because it was there before downtown got cool.

Of course, I probably drank more beer at The Getaway than anywhere else. Limerick's back in the day was great, too.

When I was a younger man living in the $#!+hole that is southern California, we called it Reeferside.

One time, realizing I hadn't visited it, I did an internet search for top attractions in the Inland Empire.  Needless to say, I found NOTHING.  Not even a quaint backwater art gallery or anything.  Just a few mildly interesting camping areas.

Actually I do remember visiting once.  I got off the freeway in Fontana and ate at a Boston Market and bought the Grapes of Wrath at a nearby bookstore.  The latter because I had all my possessions in my car and was heading west seeking my fortune.  That was only the third time I'd been in California.

They got rid of all the dispensaries here. Now it's easier to get meth.

I was doing math behind lecture halls and in libraries at one point. It's the ultimate gateway drug.

Math: not even -eπi.
