(The Wire)   You know that immigration detention Pope Francis promised a 9-year old girl he'd bring up with Obama? Probably just a coincidence, but yesterday he went free and was reunited with his daughter   (thewire.com) divider line 31

This just shows what a dictator Obama is, to personally influence the agencies that answer to him.

I'm more interested in the Pope's public confession.  What did he confess?  Any mention of him flogging the bishop?  After all Catholics consider such acts, sin that must be confessed.  Every sperm is sacred after all.

No, that was last week.  This week he's an empty suit.

So now he's going to go back to Mexico and try to re-enter the country legally?  Oh wait, he doesn't have to!  In your face, legal immigrants!

While I admire his actions, one can't help but wonder if such action legitimizes illegal immigration to a certain extent. Unless the girl's father was improperly imprisoned the pope basically just exonerated a 'criminal'.

If he thinks the policy or law is unfair then he should chastise Obama or asked him to amend current immigration laws rather than basically asking him to free someone who broke said laws.

Wow, put it back in your pants. If they were waiting for Obama to do anything, the guy would still be in jail.
IT had nothing to do with Obama doing anything.

FTFA:
Mario Vargas was freed from a detention facility in Louisiana after he posted $5,000 bond. A relative who saw the girl on television pleading with the pope during a public audience helped with the funding, said his wife, Lola Vargas.

Actually that got bumped down from an actual sin to a "morally disordered act" sometime in the mid 80's, so no confession necessary.

Most of it was expected but honestly I would have never have figured him to be the type to shoot a man in Reno, especially not just to watch him die

As amusing as that song is, that's not really a sin anymore, as mentioned. Also, while he was in public when he gave his confession, the substance of any confession is strictly confidential between the priest and the penitent in order to encourage full disclosure.

I fail to see how this inconveniences or denigrates legal immigrants.  The immigration process should be simpler, and less arbitrary for everybody.

Exactly.  He should be removed just like anyone else rather than receive special treatment because an activist group placed a child in front of the pope.  He can return to his place of origin and apply for the process like anyone else.  Hopefully the process will be changed soon (we can dream can't we) but there is nothing special about his case and receiving special treatment undermines the immigration system and cheapens the hardship and effort many go through to come to the US legally.

...and I fail to see what the hell your opinion of the current system has to do with the illegality of entering this damned country contrary to the laws of the land. Holy sh*t, it's not hard to recognize - ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS ARE LAWBREAKERS. Why do they get a free pass? I'm part Cherokee, born and raised in the US, and I don't get to go around breaking laws because they're not simple enough or too arbitrary.

Agreed.  If the process was simpler and it wasn't such a mess, then legal immigrants wouldn't need to worry that their status is being interfered with by undocumented immigrants.

That's his MO.  He gets you to trust them, then you turn your back on the Catholics, then the penis slides in.

You never break the speed limit? You always come to a full stop at a stop sign? Never cross the double yellow lines? Pretty admirable, if true.

Nobody's stopping legal immigrants from lobbying the Pope and trying to get a little help.

That can't be.

I'm told by the Fark atheists that until he allows a gay couple to consummate their sanctioned Catholic marriage on St. Peter's altar, after being conducted by an ordained married female priest, while performing an abortion on a teen girl against her parents and the father's wishes, that this Pope is the same as all the others.

Slacker had better get to work.

Of course I do that stuff once in awhile. But when I do, I get a $280 speeding ticket and I pay it. And when illegal immigrants get caught, they should also pay the penalty. Thats all i'm saying.

And it appears that this person paid the penalty also, by going to jail a detention facility. Which, I might add, is a much harsher penalty than you had to pay.

Yeah, but you still receive an optional heaping helping of guilt. My family threw in the spunk-soaked towel on this kind of nonsense when after centuries of compulsory meat-less Fridays, it suddenly (almost magically) became A-ok to enjoy a cheesesteak instead of fish n'chips for Friday dinner.
What a load of old cobbles.

Of course it's a harsher penalty. Their crime is much more egregious.

Definitely still a sin.

Funny....Doesn't mention that the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT was arrested for DRUNK DRIVING in that article. I wonder why?
Mario Vargas was arrested in Tennessee in September on a drunk driving charge and served a six month sentence.
Guess the Liberal media wanted to  make him look all nice and innocent. So this guy will get a chance to kill someone on the road again. Thanks to the Pope and Obama LOL

So after reading TFA, we all realize that Obama had nothing to do with the release of the man.

When John Kennedy was running for president, the Republicans were all screeching that the president would be taking his orders from the Pope.  54 years later it finally comes true.

/Only a Muslin would take his orders from the Pope rather than Israel
